The Vice-President of Almost Everything has been sticking to the task of recovering Tee Set history like a bulldog and has unearthed a veritable treasure trove in the Thwaites family archives, or the Kojo server as it is also known. Many thanks to Sam Thwaites for doing the digging.
If Ric can ever find the key to Jack Calcote’s garage then the Web Guy will be up to his eyes in it.
We will publish all of them over time but here is one to whet your appetite from 2010 – a report from which it is clear that Alan Fenwick had a mixed day – and that Tee Set had yet to discover the enormous advantages that a Pawang Hujan can bring to golfing life here in Indonesia.
Dear All,
Unfortunately the unseasonal weather brought us unstuck for the second week in a row. This time Tee Set was rained off the lovely Sentul Highlands course, or more appropriately …’fire hosed’ off the course. Some groups almost finished but the last completed hole for all groups was lucky 13 so the Modified Dictator Adjustment method was used to calculate the winners.
Low Gross to Mal Robbins
(despite a great round he could not shake of the tenacious Chipper who stuck with him during their match play round. The game to be replayed since Mal couldn’t finish him off before the rain)
Low Nett to Ric Wymer
(no doubt there will be some murmurs about match fixing but all handicaps were adjusted equally using the factor 0.72222 approved by the match secretary. I wonder who pays her salary?)
Low Putts to Chipper
(explains why he was able to stay in touch with Mal during their match play)
1st Birdie on #4 to Steve Wood
1st Sandy to Simon Seymour on #7
1st Par over 30 to Alan Fenwick. Shut the door on this one on hole #1
++++And then we go to the fines++++
Monster putter went to Alan Fenwick
Most strokes of 10 shared by Alan Fenwick, Shawn Berg and Weis.
No skirts reported. Probably because we played off the whites.
Welcome to new players Brenda (survived the hang over) and Jack Simon who had to swim back to the club house but luckily has some prior experience with swimming. Alan Corbett one of the last to leave the bar for home which is a sign of a true Tee Setter.
Welcome Back to Juergen Degert and his never rusty irons. Also to Derick King doing some talent scouting for the Sentul Swingers. Been a while since we’ve seen Jessie Baker playing both days of the weekend.
Next week being the last Sunday of the month we are at Pangkalan Jati with tee time 10:30AM. See ya there.
Regards, Ric

Hi Team, Well done with your digging
