Green Fees etc: 600,000 (about 75,000 less if walking)
Difficult to think of a stronger contrast between two courses than this week’s, Kedaton located in Jakarta’s Western flatlands, and last week’s, Rancamaya, tucked away in the scenic but rainy Bogor hills. No worries as no challenge is too great for your optimistic Tee Setter.
Kedaton offers you a chance to put your Pro V1 into an aqueous and premature grave on nearly every hole, but is a mature and most pleasant course with a convivial clubhouse and staff, excellent Soto Ayam and caddies both pretty and talented in the main.
We have put the Google map on Kedaton’s own page here but you should pay very special attention to the following piece of advice borne of the hard-won experience of our immediate past President.
“It is VERY IMPORTANT to remember to take the extreme left toll booth when exiting at KP31 on the Merak toll road as we lose one or two every time we visit Kedaton. All other lanes will not allow you to access the overpass to Kedaton. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!”
Tuti has manfully updated the handicaps with the 68 Rancamaya score cards and you will find your own handicap for Kedaton here.
If you plan to come but have yet to register your interest then please do so here.
Finally a reminder of a very worthwhile event next Thursday to aid the Memey Trust – and the many sick and disadvantaged Jakarta kids it helps. Please support if you can, it is a fine initiative and remarkably for Jakarta, untainted by corruption, every penny going to benefit those kids.
If you can’t make the scramble event itself then you might consider making a donation to the Memey Trust Bank Account as follows: BCA Kemang Mansions, 6220296626 in the names of Farida Ariyanti & Irene Hanim.
