NEXT UP

It has been a while since our last Monthly Medal due to the March edition being  crowded out by the Bandung Bash and Interleague, so we have no doubt that plenty of Tee Setters will be up for a Stableford contest that provides indisputable bragging rights – for a month or so anyway.

A number of players are reportedly on strict diets, weight lifting programmes and extra driving range practice while, rather more sensibly, the rest of us just quietly pray for one of those “good days” that come along from time to time.

There is a Rp. 500,000 meat voucher prize for the Monthly Medal winner from Medal Sponsors Slaney Meats while immediate Past President Wymer is hinting  that reward this time may go further down the list.

As well as the Medal Prize(s) we willl have the usual Tee Set prizes and, erm, not-so-prizes including nearest to the pin and long drive, as the President himself is back from a 3 week swanny in Ozz and is known to be rather keen on these categories.

Kick off at 11:00 from two tee boxes with Green Fees etc. including shared buggy coming out at Rp. 650,000. Caddy tip extra of course.

MATCH PLAY

Most of the sudden death Tee Set Match Play pairings are now decided and you can find out who you are playing here. Please play these just as soon as possible, remembering to report results to Jesse Baker.

There is a deadline of 30th April for completion of the first round of the competition with arbitration by the committee  sould they remain unplayed.

Finally, the first new Golf Tale in a while is well worth a read, not least if y0u want to understand a little of the English and their humour.
