Apologies for what must have been something of a shock so early in the morning, but Chip and Amidah Barwick will again both be joining us on Sunday, this time at Tee Set’s former spiritual home of Pangkalan Jati, when green fees etc will be the usual 400,000 roops including shared cart – or just 325,000 if you opt for a healthy stroll on this relatively walking friendly course.
Tee off will be at 11:00 from tee boxes 1 and 10, again as usual.
Handicaps for Sunday can be found here – red tees – blue tees
If you haven’t already registered – and intend playing – then please fill in the usual form when you will also be asked if you will be coming on to the Tee Set BBQ being held at Mike Garwood’s place off Fatmawati on Jalan Teledan #8 after we have finished our round. Margaritas and some great food are on the house, including steaks and snags, Mike’s incredible Chili Beans and Mrs Miller’s world-famous Country Pate, so bring your favourite tipple.
The BBQ is because we haven’t had one for ages (when was the last one?) – and also to say goodbye to Cam and Marni Fischer who return home to Canada after nearly three years in traffic jam central.
Also on the departure list, though not as high up on it, are Johannes Pesch and of course the Craigs who dropped the bombshell only on Sunday that they will be moving to their new home in Tuscon, Arizona in August – so we can raise an early glass ot two to them all as well.
One of the highlights of the Jakarta golfing year is of course the Kristal Hotel Charity Texas Scramble every November. This year is their 15th straight event and they hope to see the total raised since they started to $1 million!!
If you or your company might be interested in supporting the Kristal’s splendid efforts then take a look here. Finally we should also tell you that it is one hell of a day (and evening) – and if we could provide just one piece of advice, born of hard won experience, take it easy on Jack Calcote’s smoothies out on the course.
See yah Sunday! …. Tee Set
PS we have had a good response so far to Tee Set’s 30th Anniversary shirt offer, but we hope to see a lot more Tee Setter’s clad in this high quality but reasonably priced and personally monogrammed shirt. The best entry so far in the monogram competition is “BINKS A LOT” by – well we imagine you can guess 🙂
If you haven’t already ordered yours then take a look here, orders close in the middle of next week.
