The beautiful Old Course unfortunately – a little more Tee Set friendly than the New

The Interleague team and the rest of us are reunited next Sunday at Jagorawi New Course in what promises to be a fun day in the sun – and in the bar afterwards when we will be celebrating Geoff Thwaites reaching septuagenarian status. Be there, Geoff is getting his wallet out!!

Green Fees etc, including shared cart, will be 800,000 roops and there will be a scramble like start at 12:45 from as many tee boxes as required. Register at “Yes, I’m playing” as usual.

Another event that might attract your attention is the Jakarta Bintangs Texas Scramble at Palm Hill on Friday 27th September.

The Bintangs are a group of Aussie Rules players and aficionados – and the event is allegedly the equal of the recent Aussie Embassy day at Gading Raya – and therefore likely to be a whole lot of fun, Get all the details from the flyer here.

Finally, a significant number of Tee Setters expressed an interest in mid-week golf when they registered – and this is to let you know that a number of the pensioned, housewives and sundry other Tee Setters not required to participate in the rat-race take to the fairways of Pondok Cabe every Tuesday morning at 9am. No fees, no registration, no fines, no skirts, no prizes, no nothing – just turn up before nine to take advantage of a very decent course with embarrassingly low mid-week rates in the company of a few of your Tee Set brethren.
