An earlier than usual reminder this week as our course of choice tells us that they must have a player list by Thursday.
The exclusive Bumi Serpong Dami (BSD) course is unknown to all but a few Tee Setters. Designed by a chap going by the name of Jack Nicklaus, BSD is alleged to be a top class course by those who have actually played it. Thanks to the efforts of Simon Reynolds, the Tee Set will be giving it the once over next Sunday at a relatively benign rate – and it had better be right up there, or the Tee Set Trades Descriptions Act boys will be paying you a visit soon, Simon!
As it is the first time we have ever played the course, a Google map is appropriate
Hang a right at the end of the Serpong Tol and take a left for the club when signposted a few kilometers later is probably direction enough for Jakarta veterans.
Green Fees of 880,000 roops etc including shared cart, and a tee off from 1 and 10 at 11:35. Don’t be late as we may even get an early flyer like last week – and should hate to leave you behind in the clubhouse.
You really must register here as soon as possible as the club is posh and demands names and numbers in advance – so please do use the spittoons, and give us your commitment by lunchtime Thursday if you haven’t already. We will reserve a few extra places of course but registering later does rather put you in the hands of the Gods;, so no tears if you lose out.
The supplementary order for those fantastic Tee Set 30th Anniversary shirts is out of customs – and is being delivered to Tee Set on Wednesday, so you can plan to get them at BSD on Sunday; 250,000 roops a pop for the many who haven’t paid yet. There are just 13 spares, without name embroidering and in a variety of sizes, so grab this great chance while you can at 250,000 roops also.
A heads up that Sunday the 17th November will see us all together at Jagorawi once again for the end of Interleague season scramble, an occasion which promises to be a lot of fun as not only does being 5 degrees off course with a drive mean very little in scramble format, but they have also sensibly reduced their green fees etc, including shared cart, to just 800,000 roops for the day, with a 12:30 scramble start.
You can already register for the day at the usual place by selecting Jags on the drop-down menu. If you want to register a full team then use the comment box for that, otherwise just register yourself and we will organise you into a team.
The fees mentioned include shared cart and, more importantly include the end of season Interleague prizes giving which means a BBQ, plenty of drinks and maybe even a band, Those of you who supported the Septuagenarian Geoff Thwaites’ birthday will know just how much fun that particularly toxic mix can be 🙂
See yah, Sunday! … Tee Set
