Pondok Cabe has seen a significant amount of investment and improvement over the past couple of years or so and, while not Premier League in an English football analogy, it is now firmly mid-first division .

This improvement combined with a pleasing management attitude – and reasonable beer prices, means that PC is now one of the Tee Set’s mainstay courses, one that we would expect to play somewhere between four and six times a year.

Conditions at the course right now are excellent and with our amazing Pawang Hujan having recently signed another contract extension, we expect to dodge the rain as ever.

Green fees of just 400,00 roops including cart – or a wallet-lite 325,000 if you want to walk this most friendly of walking courses, as many prefer to do. Tee off from 1 and 10 at 11:30 or maybe a tad earlier if history is any guide, so don’t be late,

HOGS Charity Golf Day

A great opportunity to help poor Indonesian Kids born with cleft palate and cleft lip conditions as the Harley Owners Group (HOG) have a Charity Golf Day at Matoa on Saturday December 7th.

You have 2 choices of start time, from around 8am at the Kristal Hotel for a great breakfast, and extras, followed by a charabanc to the course leaving around 9.15 – or to go directly to the course, arriving no later than 10.30. Player fees for the entire day including lots of prizes and tinctures are 1 million roops.

The HOGS are the principal sponsors of a Charity Foundation that operates on up to 20 kids of those kids every month, releasing them from a world of misery, destitution and unemployability, and giving them a chance of a meaningful future.

The day itself is a 4 man Texas Scramble with guaranteed fun and novelty at every hole – and many Tee Setters are already signed  up – some of them are HOGS too; these HOGS are not of the “bite a chicken head off” variety!
