There goes the hood ….
As most Tee Setters will be aware, we have been looking for a new home, a home we would occupy once a month, a home where we would play our monthly medal. Our reasons for moving are manifest, near universally accepted and do not bear repetition here.
The “pindah rumah” has not been without its challenges, however, and a number of courses have been in the frame, with earlier candidates falling down after negotiations, either on the question of price, reasonably important, or timing, even more important.
Pleased to advise Tee Setters now that the deal is sealed with Senayan, a top class course in the centre of the city, a course that is readily and conveniently accessible to many, on a Sunday anyway, and whose management have agreed to the following attractive terms:
Green Fees: 500,000
Shared Cart: 250,000 per pax
Timing: 11:00 from 2 Tee Boxes
Bintang can (course or bar): 36,000 roops
In truth, if we had known this deal, or anything remotely like it, had been available a couple of months ago, then we would have saved a lot of time and effort. Many thanks to the DOGS for beating the path!!
The course has an important competition going on next Sunday, so we will play the first Monthly Medal of 2014 at the tried and true Pangkalan Jati; after that we have a contractual commitment to Senayan for the last Sunday in every month through July and, assuming all goes well, we will extend that to the end of 2014 nearer the time.

Well done guys, i know a lot of time and effort has go into this and the location is the best….
Great news indeed! Well done all involved!
Well done Sir,
I hate being homeless!!
Kind regards, John Suermondt
Nice course, but advise the Tee setters to be aware of danger in the locker room,
I played there yesterday with the Dogs, and when I went in the shower, a thief broke open the locker and stole my wallet, mobile phone and gold necklace. The Senayan management and security are investigating, but I don’t hold out much hope,
cheers Laurie
Many thanks for the warning, Laurie. Tee Setters are hereby advised to be on their guard, though we will remind them to take extra care before next month’s medal …. Tee Set
Now I can walk to Golf.. Great move
Cheers
That is excellent. Congratulations to the negotiating team.
Most Dedicated Golfer’s Award – Geoff Thawaites
Down with a stomach bug (probably worst than any he had during his almost 47 years in Jakarta), Geoff was hospitalized for 3 days in a Gold Coast (Australia) hospital where, despite extensive checks, doctors could not identify (tho the writer thinks it was a smuggled bug). But, when the pre-planned Oil Patch Golf Tournament day approached, our ex Le Presedente untuk semua instinctly checks himself out of hospital, grabs his new golf set, leaves his golf shoes behind in a mad rush and head on a 3 hour drive to Toowoomba. Despite a continuing battle with the bug in the preceeding night, Geoff made it to the rego counter 2 hours before start. With a diet of mars bars and water, Geoff and I finished with (almost) -3 for the day. Geoff 1 – Bug 0
Pictured is Geoff with his hospital tags vain roots temporarly closed after a 3 days on liquid only drip feed.
Get well soon pak Geoff
