As you may observe on the road signs leading to the club, Tee Set’s Gary Player designed venue on Sunday has had more name changes than Gary Glitter but now appears firmly settled on Sentul Highlands.

Sentul Highlands is pretty straight forward to get to using the Jagorawi Tol and taking the main Sentul City turn off before going straight on for a few clicks to a well sign posted destination. The club’s own map here.

A semi-mountain set up with delightful views, fast greens and good fairways (and several very challenging holes), the quality of the course has been somewhat variable over the years but around its best of late – and it will be interesting to see what has been achieved in the relatively recent upgrade to the clubhouse.

One thing one would not wish to have changed is the quality of the food available in the clubhouse which was top notch and one hopes still is. Beers are on the upside of pricing aspiration, a full esky is recommended for lovers of more than the odd one on the course.

Tee off is scheduled from 1 and 10 at 12:30, though we are advised that we might get away a little earlier so arrival no later than 11:30 please. Green Fees etc. including shared cart are at the “Club Privilege” rate of 735,000 roops, a not insignificant saving against the walk-on rate for a Sunday afternoon of 1,505,000 🙂

Tee Set Midweek

For various most excellent reasons, Tee Set Midweek has fallen into a near somnambulent state with just one event at Senayan to its name this year. Something of a shame as a significant number of Tee Setters have declared an interest in mid-week when there are terrific bargains available around Jakarta’s many great courses for everyone including, not least, those over the age of 55!
