Next up: Matoa Nasional, Sunday 4th May

matoaWhile there was some concern over the deteriorating state of the fairways last year, Matoa was a popular home base for many, with those same fairways being relatively Tee Set friendly within an attractive course overall and this, plus welcoming and attentive staff and caddies and less than predatory pricing, kept us coming back for the popular Monthly Medal there.

Green fees of 690,000 roops including shared cart while walking is an attractive option at 540,000 on a notably walking friendly course.

We will tee off from 1 and 10 starting at 11:30, though we have every hope of getting away a little earlier, so don’t cut it too fine, Wina.

Jan JelinekLast time out at Matoa, Mel Meeds took the day’s honours with a Net 67, Sam Westen’s 78 was enough to take Low Gross while Jan Jelinek got up close and personal with the Monster Putter Monkey .

If you haven’t already then let us know if you are playing in  the usual way.

2014 Tee Set Matchplay

As promised you will find the current status on the Matchplay here. A couple of matches already scheduled for Matoa on the weekend sees the good progress to date continuing. Still plenty of time left to screw things up of course.

HOGS Day

The President of the Yayasan HOG has let us know that the take from Sunday’s smashing event at Senayan was 11,230,000 roops, great stuff, many thanks to all who supported what was a great day and one which seems certain to become an annual Tee Set fixture.

One for the diary

We have updated  the forward schedule to accommodate Pangkalan Jati on the 1st June after which the President of Some Things will be hosting a long overdue Tee Set barbecue at his place in Kemang. The previous ones have been great fun and featured unexpectedly great food and, rather less unexpectedly, oceans of things with which to wash it down πŸ™‚

See yah Sunday!! ….. Tee Set

PS Cecelia’s Cafe

Cecelias

We somehow managed not to award the voucher from our generous sponsor,  Cecelia’s Cafe, at last week’s Monthly Medal at Senayan but, fear not, it will instead go to this week’s Low Net winner.

By way of apology to Cecelia’s Cafe, we share with you their latest menu of tasty offerings from which you will see that one of those vouchers will get you a nice lunch for two.

Cecelia’s cafe is located on the corner of Ampera Raya and and Pejatan Barat but reasonably local delivery is free for orders over 100,000 roops.

Please mention Tee Set when you order, we would like to encourage them to continue their sponsorship!
