On Sunday we are, after some shuffling about and unavailability, back to our “go to” course in a crisis, Pangkalan Jati.

Don’t get us wrong, Pangkalan Jati was the Tee Set’s home course for years, offering as it does a decent bit of grass, reasonably priced green fees, cheap beer and decent food, all most admirable qualities.

Ok, the caddies are all rather old and gnarled in the main and don’t own a handbag between them but the last 18 months or so has seen the quality of the course improve significantly and it is now firmly in the middle of the pack.

Green fees including cart of 545,000 or 445,000 using Shank’s Pony.

Tee off at 11:00 but with every prospect of getting away early so don’t cut it too fine or everyone else may already be out there by the time you arrive.

With the weather now wonderful most days, at least through mid-afternoon, this is not one to miss, so if you haven’t done so already then do sign up here as usual.

Santi’s Premium Pies

Santi’s pie business is now open for business and, to make sure we all understand just how good they are, she will be bringing plenty of them along for a late breakfast on Sunday so that you can try them out – they will be served as hot as is possible given the 4 kilometre journey from her oven to the course.

Norwegian Constitution Day is the National Day of Norway and observed on May 17 each year so Santi promises that all sons and daughters of Norway playing Tee Set on Sunday are guaranteed a full pie to themselves, and a Bintang to wash it down!!
