Rancamaya’s place in most Tee Setters hearts has long been assured and only newcomer Senayan’s fantastic location together with an amazing turnout at Palm Hills last week prevents its hegemony in this table that shows the top 10 and equal non-championship events by attendance since 1st January 2012 – for which can safely be read “all time”.

Strong early registrations indicate that this affection is not on the wane.

A rather later than usual 12:30 start on Sunday due to a Members Medal event, however, a “mini-shotgun” is promised to ensure we finish well before darkness sets in.

Great value green fees of just 580,000 roops including shared cart and cute caddy makes Rancamaya a “no brainer” if we ever saw one. Get there early and enjoy brunch and a chat with your mates on Rancamaya’s iconic terrace with its magnificent views towards Salak.

We would appreciate it if you could get your registration in before 4pm on Friday if at all possible. Later registrations than that give us some small but irritating admin issues and we would be happy if they were the exception rather than the rule for all. That said, if you wake up on a Sunday morning and suddenly feel like a game then, as always at Tee Set, just showing up will get you a round – and just maybe a scowl.

On Rancamaya Sundays we run the Tee Set bus from Hero Kemang if there is sufficient demand – cost around 175,000 roops including cold ones on the way back. Send Ric an e-mail if you fancy the fun of the charabanc which offers is own unique atmosphere, particularly on the way back as you kick back, relax and try a few of those cold ones as the less fortunate battle through the return traffic 🙂 We guess the Bus will leave Hero at 9.30 but Ric will confirm.

2014 Tee Set Matchplay Championship 

The battle of the Millers didn’t last too long on Tuesday as an in-form Santi blasted her husband off the Rainbow Hills course 7 and 6. The normally opinionated male of the species was silenced for long periods by the quality of his wife’s play – with those silences only to be disturbed by occasional complaints about the quite huge distances to be found between the blue and red tees and “why did you save your best golf of the year for me?”
