Our destination on Sunday, Halim II, is an old-fashioned tree-lined fairways affair for which the above photo will give you a pretty good feel. The fairways are reasonably wide, however, straying either side of the tree line will give you valuable chipping back sideways practice the great majority of the time 😦
Opinion has it that our last visit there was in 2011, ie before proper records began, but it’s a very decent course and possessed of equally decent green fees etc at 543,000 roops walking – and an extra 100,000 if you are sharing a cart. Tee time will be 11:00.
If you are up for the challenge, then sign up here as usual. It is even more important this week than usual that you sign up, as under-declaring the number of our players in advance leads to financial consequences. And not good ones.
Report of the recent Interleague doings is out rather faster than usual and you can take them all in here.
See ya Sunday, and remember to bring your chipper and tree wood ….. Tee Set
PS Somebody left this very nice Thermos Flask behind at Palm Hills some weeks ago.
Contact newly returned from extended leave Santi Miller to reclaim it, but you will have to buy 6 of her sensational new Curry Pies as her (and your) reward 😉
PPS Around 10 last night the web site clocked up its 50,000th page viewing since it was started back in December 2011, representing a daily average of a little less than 90.
As we have said before these are numbers that are unlikely to cause sleepless night to the owners of Facebook or Google but are pretty respectable for us given our average weekly playing attendance of around 40.
And it is not just from Jakarta that we get visitors ….
