Up next of course is Pangkalan Jati, our home base for years before new management decided that Tee Set should go on the road as we do until this day, followed of course by the infamous Tee Set BBQ.
By common consent PJ, as it is almost universally known to Jakarta golfers, is a very decent course having improved some in the last few years, provides a rich variety of challenges and indeed very reasonable green fees at 460,000 roops including a cart – and an even more reasonable 360,000 for those using Shanks’s pony.
Tee off is now firm at an unusually early 1o:30 so that it still light for the relatively short journey to the Tee Set BBQ at the President’s place in Kemang. Please make sure you get there no later than 10 so that Senior Management can get the flights together under a little less pressure than usual.
We have 40 slots reserved and they are going fast so get yourself registered for what should be a great day of fun in the sun.
Peter will be distributing maps for getting to his place after the round for what will be the usual well provisioned BBQ in every sense with Tee Set digging deep and rumour having it that asides from all the usual, your scribe’s favourite tincture, Margarita, will be on offer. One thing not on offer though is wine, so you might wish to bring along. We have glasses.
A few complaints from Tee Setters telling us that they have registered in the usual place only to find that they are not registered on the Tee Set list.
After thousands of successful registrations we are rather dubious about this however.
After you register on the web site you will, depending on the speed of your internet connection, get a message like the one you see to the left, confirming that you have successfully registered with the web site. If you don’t get the message then you are indeed not registered and must try again until you do.
It’s been a while since you got any stats to bore you so here are some on round totals this year by player and in summary form.
You will see that the Immediate Past President of Lots of Stuff has increased his lead to five rounds over a second place Mel Meeds who advance as a result of Sam Westen dropping back into the back somewhat following a lean run of attendance in recent months.
Sam is reported to be itching to get back after an enforced absence in sunny London and should be back in good time for our next Interleague match up.
See ya at PJ!! … Tee Set
