The Imperial Golf Club out at Lippo Karawaci has just about everything you could want from a course, including not least, excellent administration and cute caddies, so we will be teeing off from 1 & 10 at exactly 11:47 on Sunday.

Imperial was most certainly one of the highlights of the year so far when we were last out there in August, as anyone who was there on the day will tell you – and Sunday should be just as good and something of a bargain with green fees at just 675,000 for a top class set-up.

Call for nominations for Tee Set President 2014/2015

We have had a strong response to our call for nominations. Something we should have mentioned on the page from the start is that none of the current committee of Peter, Rick and Keith are available for nomination, though the two latter are both willing to continue to support whoever is elected President.

If you nominated any of the three of them then we don’t want to see your nomination wasted as you only have one bullet- so if you indeed nominated one of them then you can can have your bullet back – and nominate any other candidate you see on the list if you so wish.

Registering for the Tee Set Championship

Finally and perhaps even most importantly, tomorrow is your final chance to preferentially sign up for the Tee Set Championship on the 30th November – and receive the discounted rate of 900,00 roops which is the bargain of the year for what is going to be the best ever!

All those who qualified for these preferences, ie who have played 6 or more Tee Set Sundays since the last Championship, received an e-mail with a link to the registration page last week and, of the 89 qualifying Tee Setters, 55 have already registered. We know some of you have left the country but for the rest, we don’t want you to miss your chance so take action now. If you have “lost” the e-mail with the link then let us know.

From the 11th October, the remaining slots, after an allocation to our sponsors of course, will be made available to Joe Public.

PS Tom Alcedo is offering some high class new/barely used equipment in the Classifieds this week, while there is a junior set also available from Hal Hayne if you have a budding Tee Setter under 6 in the house.

PPS we have expanded what is available under “Handicaps” to provide background on what they are for, how they are calculated and hopefully reduce the frequency of questions and complaints about them from Tee Setters, not least Newcomers!!

The main message is that your handicap is aspirational and most certainly not the arithmetical average of what you score every week!!
