An end of month return to our home course at Matoa for the Monthly Medal, something which always adds an extra dimension to the Tee Set Sunday fun. With the rainy season a little overdue, we may be bringing our Pawang Hujan out of retirement this week, so please give him a cheery smile as you see him going about his important work. He will grizzle back at you but don’t let that put you off, his grizzle is worse than his bite.

This will be our 19th Monthly Medal since the first back in February 2013 – here is the honours roll since that ground-breaking moment.

As you can see, quite a mix of the good and the great and the, erm, not so great – and exactly therefore what the Monthly Medal is all about, allowing players from the full spectrum of abilities to compete on a level(ish) playing field.

Also, and as we pointed out last time, the absence of some of the good and the great in Bali will only increase the chances of the rest of us, so let’s do it!
