The rather over-ambitious 2015 pricing aspirations of both Gading Raya and Sedana have forced us to change the new year programme before the paint on it was even thinking about drying.
No worries for our VP of Excellent Discounts, however, as he quickly secured Lotus Lakes (formerly Karawang International) for this coming Sunday – and Imperial for the week after, and both at the sort of excellent rates that justify his new moniker.
Those who know them will agree that they are really very superior substitutes.
We have not visited Lotus Lakes since 2013 when what looked like a magnificent new clubhouse, pictured above, was on the verge of completion and therefore a fitting companion to an excellent course.
Located out on the Cikampek Tol, and, happily, as far from the rain prone Bogor courses as we get, Lotus Lakes is a little further than most of our venues but experience shows that the journey is markedly less “macet infested” and therefore faster to get to, and especially back from, than the courses out on the Jagorawi Tol.
Tee off at 11:47 (note the change, hopefully the final one) from 1 & 10, sign up here if you are not one of the 20 who have done so already for what promises to be a Tee Set day of fun in the sun to celebrate the arrival of what will hopefully be a great New Year for Tee Set.
Happy New Year to all – and see ya at Lotus Lakes! …. Tee Set
PS A scouting report from the Singing President who risked a 2 shot penalty to try out Lotus Lakes on your behalf today:
Fine facilities. Outstanding course with chance to take driver to all par 4s and 5s. Par 3s picturesque and challenging with 8th on Orchid course the signature hole. In fact the Orchid course is as good as any top course.
Strategically placed trees will test a few and keep scores up but good players on their day should play under their handicap. Most par 4s longish but par 5s very reachable for A graders.
No spa diversion so everyone should be at presentation. Clubhouse food and service very good. Lockers excellent.
All up we are in for a good day weather permitting. …it’s just started pelting down now.

Happy New Year to all at T Set!
Phil Mckean.
