“The Tee Set friendly Modern course was in pretty good shape while the staff on the course and in the club house were friendly and efficient, the food and service really was of a high standard and their non-cash system works so well that it is a model for others in the area to follow. Tee Setters really do not like having to put their hand in their pockets every time they order a bag of salted peanuts”

That was what we wrote about Modern last time we were there back in September last year when we were to enjoy a fine time on a day when everyone was around in a little over four and a half hours – using the same shotgun start that will be in operation again on Sunday.

Green fees of 735.000 including shared buggy for that 12:30 shotgun start.

Should be another fine Tee Set Sunday if we can yet again dodge the rain bullet, sign up here if you have not already done so.

Interleague

Newly anointed Interleague Captain, Ric, provided us with this write-up for the Tee Set Interleague match at Jagorawi on Sunday, a match that, with its early 9:30 morning start, will have just about completed by the time those playing at Modern have teed off.

Last year the Tee Set campaign to lift the Interleague trophy started slowly but gathered pace through the year with key players Geoff, Chris, George, Sam, Simon, Peter, Neil, Mel, Bruce, Nicky, Mike and Ric hitting form at one time or another. The competition result was in the balance going into the last round, however the Cloggies prevailed with Tee Set coming in tied for second place.

This year the talent scouts have been working overtime and there is new depth to the group. Barbora, Jaroslav, Mark Johnson, Tim Knight, Joseph d’Cruz and Chris Lever are all ready take on the current champions and beat them on their home course.

If you think your game is coming together then throw your hat into the ring to join Interleague Match Play this Sunday with a 9:30 tee off. Even if you don’t make the team there will be the normal stroke play competition starting straight after the Interleague shotgun at 9:30.

Fees all up are Rp1.050.000 including the shared cart and match fee.
