Imperial Golf Klub, Sunday 26th April 2015

ImperialTo say that we have settled comfortably into our new “home” at Imperial rather understates the case, with a great course to play every month at reasonable cost, a course equipped with fine facilities and providing superb service – and all this going to ensure that we have put our feet firmly under the table. Our hope is that they won’t “do a Senayan” and try to double their rates should we choose to extend.

Sunday sees our 3rd Monthly Medal at Imperial, our 23rd in total, when we will have the usual full range of enormous cash prizes on offer (shome mishtake shurely? – ED) plus one of those 500,000 vouchers from Slaney’s for the Medal winner and 6 of Santi’s finest pies for Nearest to the Pin. Many thanks once again to our Medal sponsors.

Green fees of 750,000 including shared cart for a tee time of 11:48 from 1 and 10.

It will be a great day, guaranteed, join the 30 who have already signed up here.

Interleague

After last years loss to Pocksia 4-6 in the last game of the year thereby robbing Tee Set of its 2nd place standing over all, revenge was on the menu. The team nearly got the clean sweep but the great short game of Jeremy Dwyer keep Pocksia in the hunt for their only points of the day with a 2-1 win.

Full game results were:

Chris Murchison romped in 5 and 4

Joseph de Cruz keep up his good form winning 2  up

The Chris’s (Chan and Lever) hammered their opposition 4 and 3

Divya and Anlo came back on the run with a 6 and 5 slaughter

Singing President Craig Ewers and Geoff (Caddy Whisperer) Thwaites went down fighting 1 – 2

Leaves Tee Set on 26 points out of a possible 30 with Tin Cups baying on our heels with 23.

Well done to the lads after another fine effort – and they are itching top get at the Tin Cups in June!

Rancamaya Stay & Play

31 Tee Setters signed up already for the Rancamaya weekend, bringing 17 “significant others” with them and occupying 23 rooms.

Don’t miss the opportunity to join us in what promises to be second only to the Tee Set Championship in this year’s calendar.

26th Annual HOGFEST

HOGSFinally, an appeal for you to open your wallet in support of one of the very finest of charitable causes, the treatment of Indonesian kids afflicted with cleft palette and cleft lip, conditions which, unless treated, condemn those kids to a life time of misery and economic disadvantage. Funding 120+ of these operations every year are the Yayasan HOGs, a bunch of largely expat givers with a biking problem who put a huge amount of endeavour into changing lives. Tee Set’s favourite charity, we have nothing but the highest admiration for the work put in by these guys and gals – and the amazing results they achieve. And 99 cents of every dollar (or whatever) you contribute goes directly to funding those kids.

To support the HOGS and the work they do, then all you have to do is go to their annual fundraiser and enjoy the food, drink and wide range of entertainment they have on offer at the HOGFEST event on what is always a fantastic night at Manggala Wanabakti on the 9th May.

Tickets are priced at just 750,ooo roops and will be available when you register on Sunday – so don’t forget your wallet 🙂

See ya at Imperial!! … Tee Set
