Hot and dry is expected for our first return to Lotus Lakes out on the Cikampek Tol, the former Karawang International, in contrast to Tee Set’s very first event of the year in the middle of “Winter” on January 4th. Lots more pretty pictures of the course on their website where you will also find some delightfully tortured descriptions of the place, apparently translated from the original Japanese into English via Indonesian.

As you may read, the report of the day concluded that the course was a delight as always and that the new clubhouse was “magnificent”. It did also suggest that the course was a prime candidate for playing everyone off the whites; you will have to wait for Sunday morning to see if that plausible suggestion is taken on board by the grown-ups.

If you read the report then you may also have seen that we got away more than an hour early last time so it would not do to cut it too fine. No tears if you arrive late and have to join a group of Koreans playing for big bucks and take six hours.

Tee Set’s 32nd Birthday at Sewangan

32 years since the Tee Set pioneers headed off down the first fairway at Sewangan Besar in our first ever event in 1983 and, as you will almost certainly know by now, we are celebrating this with a return to the course where it all started.

To make it something of a special event we are planning to make a weekend of it and have an optional round on the Saturday also – and one of our famous Tee Set BBQ parties on the Saturday evening with lots of family fun. We have already received firm bookings for 10 rooms and we need a minimum of another 5 to make the thing viable so, if you plan on attending, then get on the case now!

The accommodation is rustic but pleasant and with nice views of a lake, and comes in at a bargain basement 530,000 roops. All playing on the Saturday will receive a sleeve of Tee Set Titleist balls, while everybody playing the Anniversary rounds gets the exquisite (eh? .. ED) special edition Tee Set golf cap.
