Yes, it’s our 32nd birthday on Sunday and we are planning on a day of fun in the sun to celebrate with very possibly the first ever Tee Set round of Texas Scramble.
The Singing President has finally found time to break off from saving the planet as we know it and put the rules together – you will find them here.
Main thing to note is that each team will be drawn out of a hat on the day – and have an “A” Grade and a B Grade player – and that a team will have their individual handicaps added up and get one tenth of that as their team handicap.
The prizes on the day have a distinctly different feel for anyone who has ever played Tee Set before – and are as follows:
1. Low net – winner
2. Low net – runner up
3. Low net – 3rd place
4. Longest drive with a 1980s club (provided by us – sorry right handed only)
5. Best dressed male (80s theme)
6. Best dressed female (80s theme)
7. Most drives taken overall
8. Most drives taken from Handicap over 30
Please make sure that you are at the Sewangan Clubhouse and registered by 9,30 am so that we can get the flights etc sorted out – and so you can play with the benefit of a hearty breakfast inside you.
Green fees of 330,000 roops walking, or 490,000 in a cart. For the newcomers we are expecting, please note that there is a Tee Set fee of 100,000 to pay to our secretary also.
Tee off from at least two tees at 10;30. Sign up here if you haven’t already done so.
There are still a couple of rooms available on the Saturday night at the close-by Sewangan Villas in case you want to join in the fun of the Saturday afternoon round, followed by a magnificent Tee Set BBQ. The full story and the final chance to register is here.
See ya at the party!! ………… Tee Set

Google maps took a few of us into the kampung!
Actually those alternative routes through the kampong once known are extremely handy when the main road is padat on a typical Sunday afternoon.
