Pangkalan Jati again served as our trusty go-to course and was well attended with 34 Tee Setters teeing off….and finishing! Welcome to newcomers Stuart and Andrew. A big welcome back after 154 weeks to Ian Sibson….and to Brenda who restored control in the Tee Set operation after some time off with family.
The Play
Plenty of good rounds in all grades but not too many under par, again evidence of PJ as a test of golf.
Simon ret
urned after a McIlroy inspired Futsal injury to reclaim his hold over Low Gross with an 81 and Murcho, still celebrating the All Blacks World Cup victory took Low Net A Grade.
Our youngest player Daniel took B grade honours with a net 68 – 84 off the stick – edging in front of big sister Barbora, who will no doubt be seeking revenge next round.
Michael Vasco Da Gama Seabrook navigated his way around PJ’s curves to win C Grade net and Tom Grace finally managed to steal some spotlight from Cucu with a 20 shot improvement on the back nine – thanks to an excellent 44 and a crap front nine.
Jaco lost his driver but found his putter winning Low Putts with 27. James and Jan shared First birdie on the first hole and Mike found his way out of the sand to score a par on the 4th. None of the 30+ handicappers managed a par…that makes a happy Treasurer.
Matt again got value from his green fees with most Strokes on a hole – dont worry Matt your investment in fines is returned with interest (paid in food and alcohol) at Club Championships. Karol was unlucky to be named Monster Putter with only 39, under our usual threshold! Skirts included the usual suspects plus a few usually straight shooters…and Former President Geoff who relished the chance to dress up.

Before leaving PJ though we have to feature a curious photo of the new open air facilities installed to make sure golfers could still answer their playing partners when they were also answering the call of nature. Not sure if any Tee Setters put these units to the test…hopefully not given the absence of plumbing.
