Tee Setter views on Pangkalan Jati are very nearly as polarised as those of our American brethren on their own President, either the best thing since sliced bread or the very spawn of the Devil – and just about nothing in-between 😦
Less contentious is that PJ, home of the Tee Set for so many years, is a challenging course with more variety than the great majority of the courses in the Jakarta area, and without doubt the one that requires you to use more of the clubs in your bag than any other.
Add in a great price, especially if you are walking, and beer prices vaguely reminiscent of a local 7/11 rather than the liquid gold for which we pay through the nose at so many courses these days, and you can understand why it is popular with many. Just to prove it 30 Tee Setters have already signed up for Sunday – and you can join them by filling in the rather less than demanding form here.
11:30 off 1 & 10 so don’t be late, they do a good breakfast too.
See ya at PJ …….. Tee Set
PS rumour has it that, so long as a reasonable recovery has been made from the previous day’s Xmas Bash in the Dungeon, the Immediate Past Vice President of Hardly Anything will be making a little food and a lot of beer available on his new roof terrace in the sky after the game in nearby Lebak Bulus. Significant prize for anyone diving into the pool apparently.
