And it’s a Happy Xmas from them ………

The day

There were to be no disaster stories reported from the Fatmawati Market area, so a very healthy turnout for the pre-Xmas round of 32 Tee Setters got off to an early start at PJ helped by the starter using his nous. The course would have been pretty empty without us – and a brisk round of not a lot more than 4 hours for all was the result.

Santa Reynolds was  the tardiest and with unfortunate effect, as he was the nominated deliverer of the seasonal hats. 2 stroke penalty.

Dominic

Two Newcomers to report in Motsamai Makhetla a new arrival from South Africa and Dominic May, here from Aussie for a month – and looking for as many games as he can pack in between now and the 16th January. Let Dominic know (0812 8980 4705) if you want a round or have something already organised that he could join in over Xmas/New Year. Appreciate your help.

The Play

Summary

MillersSplendid day for the Millers as they took out Low Net for both A and B Grade while Reka Romango ran away with C Grade with a net 65. We are going to put a marker in the Millers’  cart next time 🙂

Perennial winner off the stick was of course Simon Reynolds, minus a Santa hat, with an impressive 76.

In the minor skill prizes there was the usual shuffling around to make sure nobody gets more than one prize though Mark Johnson’s usual advanced fringe chipping skills was to see him take Low Putts with 27 while Joe Alci was out on his own with a Most Improved score of 12 – well done, Joe!

skirtsA fine crop of 7 skirts will please the absent Treasurer, though he will be less pleased to see that, with Monster Putter at only 39, there will be nothing coming his way from that direction.

More detailed player by player results can be found here – and lots of photos of a fine day on our photo gallery.

Next up

Last Sunday of the month, so it is back to Imperial and the Monthly Medal – and the last in the current 4-event Eclectic Series. A certain small but perfectly formed Ricard drinker in the lead at the moment but others in contention We will update the detailed situation in the next post.

Tee off at 12 noon – and green fees of 750,000 including shared buggy – sign up here.

2016 Schedule

Cengkareng-GolfWhile the full 2016 schedule can best still be described as a “work-in-progress” we do have some very exciting news for you on that front – on 10th January we will be playing Cengkareng GC out by the airport; just a brisk trot around the JORR on a Sunday morning these days.

At the very least Cengkareng is amongst the top 3 courses in Jakarta, blessed with absolutely top-class facilities and, to add to our joy, green fees for this walking-only course will be a relatively wallet-lite 750,000.

Participation will be limited to 50 players and we expect demand to be huge for this one – so sign up as soon as the opportunity is made available early in the New Year.

See ya at Imperial!! ………. Tee Set
