For some months now the Committee has been baffled by the mysterious disappearance of the Monthly Medal Shield after the Tee Set Club Championships in November.

We certainly had our suspicions.  Perhaps it disappeared with the missing whiskey – but we discovered that went down somebody’s throat, so it wasn’t going to be there.

Anyway our appeal to the membership for information leading to its whereabouts has paid off.  The culprit has handed himself in…..and here he is:

The secret of good detective work is to follow the trail of evidence.  We should have known in Tee Set that all trails lead to the Vice President of Almost Everything.  Somewhere between those left over goodie bags, unsold shirts, leftover Tee Set booze stocks, ageing Nearest to the Pin and Long Drive Banners, skirts and Monster Putter monkey masks and endless other paraphernalia, our revered Shield was hiding.

So that mystery is solved! Next one, where is Sam?
