The Day

With a lot of Tee Setters away for the long weekend in Bandung and even more exotic locations, we still managed a great turnout of 43. Imperial again delivered: macet free journeys, brilliant weather, no overbooking meaning no delays, and friendly service from arrival to eventual departure well after dark. A big welcome to newcomers Mathias and Kong, and welcome back to Graeme after 141 weeks away, who must have thought we were punishing him for his long absence by incorrectly naming him as Monster Putter before correcting our ways. Sorry Graeme always assume we stuffed up, thanks for being a good sport and now will the real Monster Putter step up…oh Mike there you are below.
Some great photography from Monthly Medal El Supremo Pastis Pascal, so in contrast to last week, photos will overshadow words this week! This next series capturing some of the snaps of the day.
The Play

As usual, Imperial produced a mix of spectacularly good and bad golf, often from the same players. It’s only fitting that we start with our Monthly Medallist, Leona.

With 40 points Leona had the round of the day and joins husband Jan’s name on the shield, just in time before they leave us to return home to the Czech Republic (see I got it right this time :-))
You have been Tee Set regulars and will be missed, best wishes from all of us.
Roger led the way again with Low Net A, leaving Santi segwaying in to take Low Gross, the Singing President looking a bit manic here after a bizarre day of two nines – 54 on the front and 38 on the back to win Low Net B grade on a dramatic countback, and Pastis Pascal attempting the breath holding contest after winning Low net C Grade.
In the skills prizes, Mo disappeared without claiming Low Birdie or Longest Drive, and after pleading with the caddy measuring the drive that it was longer than 263 yards. Susanti won longest drive for ladies repeating the swing here. Billy did well to even get out of bed after a torrid schedule, but somehow managed to win Nearest to the Pin. Perrenial prize winner El Guapo took first sandy but there remains a mystery as to how he snapped his club after consecutive OBs. Paisan won a 100,000Rp of small change and the VP for Almost Everything wasn’t hearing anything about his new hairstyle after taking out Low Putts.
Jan gets his own special spread this week after going from dejection after Most Strokes to triumph as Most Improved. Art joined Jan for most strokes and Mike was reunited with his furry friend for Monster Putter.
And now for the skirts. The Web Guy has recently discovered the complete tally of Tee Set skirts over the years since records but is not yet ready to share until he has done some further analysis…may tell you something about who is near the top. As for Sunday, what a crop of skirts we had. The convention is that less hirsute cross dressers get the wig but VP for Almost Everything became nostalgic for his high school days…see below from the vault.

Matchplay and Ecletic
In a sign of our growing “maturity” (!!) you can now follow these competitions on their own pages. Matchplay is now into the third round as is the 3rd Cycle of the Tee Set eclectic. Scores after the third round (of a 5 round cycle) will be up soon.
Next Up
Back to the site of many a good (and sometimes long) Sunday afternoons at Palm Hill just off the Sentul Race Circuit. The amazing Wina has managed to negotiate a 12 noon start of 6 tee boxes at 725,000Rp including cart. Beers can be a bit pricey so come prepared. Register here as usual.
