Some great shots from our last round at Imperial Golf Klub (with a K). If you are not one of the 50+ who have registered already, you better be quick here.
Now while we have your attention, a quick clarification on two rules.
Scoring Holes not Played
If weather or bad light means that you cannot finish your round, the scores for your holes not played will be calculated as par plus handicap strokes for the hole and preceded with a “X” to indicate it was not played.
For example, if you are a 28 handicapper and you don’t get to play the par 5 18th hole, which is handicap index 2, your score will be par =5 plus 2 strokes, so you will mark X-7.
Hazards – Point of Entry
Imperial has plenty of hazards, so this one will no doubt come up on Sunday. Watch this if you are not sure of the rules.
The main point we see people confused on is that a drop must be taken in a drop zone or on a line from where the ball entered the hazard…..not horizontally from where it landed or where you saw a splash. You have a range of options but sneeking up on distance is not one.
