Imperial Golf Klub Monthly Medal, 29th May 2016

2016-05-29 Tee Set Golf 'Monthly Medal' in Karawaci (7)

The Day

IMperial290516

No negatives in this write up…we will vote with our feet. Neither the late start nor the intermittent rain would steal the glory away from Pastis Pascal’s triumph in the third cycle of the Tee Set Eclectic. Well done Pascal, a much deserved victory! Your name will be on the trophy in no time.

Fifty seven Tee Setters, including the immediate Past President for Some Things, Robert Bellavance after 127 weeks, Murray after 61 and Edward after 51 weeks away,  made the trip to Imperial Golf Klub with a K. A big welcome to first timers Rocky and Doug.

After recovering from a back injury after attempting to carry the Singing President through 18 holes in the Interleague pairs last week, Joseph  D’Cruz had a stellar round of 42 stableford points to win the May Monthly Medal.  He topped other tables including Low gross but this had to be awarded after a four way count back to Jeff Landau.

El Guapo not to be denied snuck in for Low Net A Grade and Ric topped the B Grade leaderboard for the second week in a row.  Bas again paid for his round by taking Low Net C Grade after Jana (psychedelic below) snuck in on the first hole to deny Bas his traditional prize of First Par Over 30…good start Jana!

The ladies also took out Low Putts with a fired up Wina putting well with only 26…although no doubt wanting to get the driver out to the starter….oops I slipped. Wina was OB in presentations so no photo here.  Nearest to the pin waswon by Mo but he had also taken off. Fortunately Robert on his welcome back game was still kicking on and was awarded Longest Drive.

Pocket rocket Daniel and Ronald flew off the tee to get birdies on the first hole.   Short game specialist Roger (in pink) had a sandy par on the first to claim the redback there.

And now for the skirts….

As Tiger watches on ominously, 9 out of the 15 players who didn’t make the ladies’ tee joined the photo.  Edward had a rough day on the greens with 50 putts, one off matching his number of weeks away, and Irene who is enjoying her start to golf made the most of one hole with 12 strokes.

Next Up

Before dealing with next week please make sure you register for Rancamaya on 11-12 June weekend here.  The hotel urgently needs to know numbers or they will give our rooms away.

Now, next week we return to the excellent Cengkareng Golf Club.  Please register here as usual. Fast play is a must next week as we will no doubt have plenty of interest.
