The Day

A year to the day since we last played at Lotus Lakes, a small contingent of Tee Setters ventured out to play a tough but excellent course. It’s a long course, with soft fairways but hard and fast greens and everyone enjoyed the scenery and the challenge.
Although its a fair way out on the road to Bandung, it’s a fast trip and the facilities and staff are first rate. Definitely worth playing for those who missed out, no doubt hung over still from the 33rd birthday and Independence Day festivities.

Peter Grant was actually a newcomer but is listed here as a Welcome Back, probably because he has a name sake. Peter took the Low Putts award so is pictured here.
The Singing Prez had a break from presentation duties, and relaxed with wife to be Yunita, and the Immediate Past President of Almost Everything took over, splendid here in red and white. Thanks also to Beby who filled in for Brenda.
The Play

To speed up play we started off all three nines, so people played a different combination of the Orchid, Lotus and Jasmine courses. The scores indicated that all nines were equally challenging. Winners of the net prizes included Roger in A Grade, the Singing Prez in B Grade and Tom in C Grade; Ian being awarded Low Gross instead of Low Net A…just because….it’s complicated 🙂 Tom and Ian were OB for the photos.
In the skills prizes, Matthew took first sandy – great to see that driver out Matt after a session with Coach Ken!!! Patrick was first birdie but was OB, as was next in line Sudhir. Lis took First Par Over 30 in what is becoming a regular thing.
Mike won Most Improved after Neil was OB as well – great for Mike because he made a profit on the day, after wining the trifecta – Most Strokes, the Skirt and Monster Putter….for all that, he gets his own string of photos….good on ya Mike!
