The day
Last Interleague event to decide the eventual champion and it went down to the wire. Cloggies eventually held their nerve to get past the line against a determined Mad Dogs team. Final result was a 6 – 4 win to Mad Dogs, not quite enough to leapfrog the Cloggies. Congratulations to the men (and ladies) in orange..
Tee Set playing for pride alone and managed to beat Pocksia 6 – 4 to take 4th place. 5 wins from 7 games sounds good on paper but two rounds with zero points killed our 2016 campaign. Always next year.
The end of season celebrations started around 3pm and belted on till dark when the Bandung Band finally switched off the power around 6pm. Thanks to Geoff Thwaites for sponsoring their trip down the mountain.
Thanks also to Kees De Korver for cooking up the chili beans and smoked chicken, mouthwatering as were the home cooked apple pies provided by Iris.
Well done to the JIL Committee for running another successful year of match play.
The play
Mike Riley’s first ever birdie and he got it on hole #1. Made him feel like a real golfer. 22 golfers on the day including the 8 that played Interleague match play.
Malty Suermondt got a par for h/c +30 on hole #2. Although no prizes given out today due to Interleague they will get a free pass for their next normal Tee Set event as will Simon Reynolds for shooting a low gross 80.

We guess that you will not need reminding that next Sunday sees the Tee Set Championship at Matoa. A full list of participants here …. better let us know pronto if you think you should be on there – and aren’t. If you have to pull out for any reason then let us know immediately or you will screw up all our careful planning!
