Some words from Roger, new President of Tee Set

Thank you to all those Tee Setters who were at Modern last Saturday for the vote of confidence in electing me to fulfil the role of President of Tee Set.

To my predecessor Pascal, on behalf of myself and all our group, our appreciation for your contribution to the organisation and development of Tee Set – and we look forward to seeing you out regularly on Sundays – with pastis in hand of course!

To all, I am looking forward to serving as your President and helping ensure Tee Set continues to run smoothly in providing opportunities for all levels of golfers to enjoy their Sunday golf and social banter in a relaxed atmosphere each week.

With the hard work behind the scenes week to week being supported by Keith, Ric, Wina, James Ross and our secretaries, the real order of business is to ensure we just carry on as usual with just the occasional tweak here and there as needed.

Battle Royale Cup

For those, like myself, who enjoy both the golf and Margaritas at Cengkareng, the renovations are due to be fully completed by the end of July just in time for the 2^nd playing of the Battle Royale Cup against Par 5 Club on the week-end of 19^th and 20^th August. More details of this to follow soon.

Next up

Murphy’s Law sees us having to make a change the scheduled venue of Cengkareng to Matoa on Sunday due to the final stage renovations ongoing at Cengkareng.

11am first tee-time at Matoa from 1 and 10 – and with green fees at a bargain 600,000 for this nice course including shared cart.

If you have not yet signed up and wish to join the fun at Matoa then please do sign up as soon as possible.

The Vice-President of everything advises that there will be some supplementary “secret prizes” this week for the three Grade winners. Obviously clearing out time for his garage again 🙂

Although we do accept late sign ups and even turning up on the day, it helps our organization of the week-end immensely if you can sign up before 4pm on a Friday so we can prepare playing lists and your personalized score card etc.
