Sunday sees us visit another of those courses which Tee Set tends to go to only once a year, Kedaton Golf & Country Club – our last visit being in March 2017, some 16 months ago.
Although a little further down the Tangerang -Merak Toll road at KM 31, it is set amongst a nice development and is usually in great condition.
Some wide fairways allow you to open your arms with the driver but there are also canals down the side of many holes to catch errant drives; adding up to us seeing that a net score around Par will usually put you in contention based on past results. On our last visit the pro shop was sparsely stocked so make sure you bring enough ammunition….
Kedaton is also one of the few courses which allow you to choose whether to walk or take a buggy. Thanks to Wina Nugraha, our fixture Secretary, we have secured excellent rates which are also lower than last year – Rp700,000 for those walking and Rp850,000 for those in a cart.

***** IMPORTANT WARNING AND ADVICE *****
The one tricky thing about getting to Kedaton is making sure that you take the correct turn off from the Merak Tol heading West, with the bleached bones of those who miss it generally only found several days after their mistake.
Be prepared to take the far left toll booth, and ONLY the far left toll booth at Km 31, otherwise you WILL NOT be able to get across the toll to Kedaton but instead will be doomed to wander the Western Badlands for eternity.
If you are taxi-ing then keep a close eye on your driver and guide him as necessary. They are likely not to know this detail and are best served by you paying for the additional 20km to the next U-turn and back

The Tee Set 35th Anniversary Birthday celebration is now confirmed for 12th August 2018 at Matoa. As usual, it will be a team scramble event and with it being a special anniversary, we are working making the day as fun as possible.
Registrations and further details on the day will be shared soon but please mark your calendars and start to think about creating your team. We have a lucky 88 spaces available so first in, best dressed.

(2) 4th Annual Asian Tigers 45 Hole Challenge
Hosted and organized by Tee Set VP, Bill Lloyd, and our good sponsor, Asian Tigers Mobility, this unique golfing event on the Jakarta calendar is not to be missed.
In addition to being just a great day out, it is also held for the worthy cause of supporting the protection of Sumatran Tigers through the work of the Animal Sanctuary Trust Indonesia, https://www.simplygiving.com/NonProfit/animalsanctuarytrustindonesia. ASTI’s mission, in part, to care for and rehabilitate the endangered Sumatran Tiger.
As you may guess from the name, the event is held over the 45 holes of Jagorawi Golf & Country Club with the emphasis on a golfing iron-man challenge to walk and play all 3 courses in a day. Carts are available for those who decide to relax during the day but with a penalty applied per 9 holes for their use.
Your score will be counted as the best four 9 hole scores with the Best Net and Best Gross 36 hole scores getting to take home the finest trophy in Jakarta, here modeled by President Roger Finnie who won Best Net last year.
