This Sunday we head back to one of Jakarta’s finest courses and one of Tee Set’s most popular venues, Cengkareng, home for Tee Set’s Monthly Medal for 2019.
With the current shield being full, we have ordered a new one thanks to the kind sponsorship of Geoff Thwaites and Kojo and expect to have it on hand this week to present to our Monthly Medalist along with the new medals.
This week will also be the final round (finally after 6 months!) of Cycle IX of the Tee Set Eclectic. Several players made a big move in Round 3 but our early leaders, January Medalist Lorenzo Marengo and Eclectic VII Champion James Ross, still hold a slender lead at the top of the standings as they seek to wrestle the trophy from current holder, Amol Singhal. To check out the standings and your hole by hole score you can look at the Eclectic page on our website.
Whilst there is a lot to attract players for this week, we also welcome those who just wish to enjoy a pleasant trip across the rolling fairways, guided round by Cengkareng’s well trained caddies and then to sit and enjoy one of its famous Margaritas to cool you down afterwards.
If you are able to join us for a very reasonable Rp850,000 walking please sign up here. Tee time is 12pm as usual.
Reminder: For those who would prefer not to walk, in addition to the hover boards to glide across the rolling fairways, Cengkareng management have purchased a limited number of golf carts. These are priced at Rp55ok a cart so if you wish to reserve one please contact the Golf reservations staff at Cengkareng directly. As the carts are limited in number and we do not have visibility to those already booked on the day, your Tee Set Committee is not involved to the reservation of the carts.
Tee Set Match Play
We have 2 more matches presently scheduled this week which will bring us up to 11 of the scheduled 16 matches completed. A reminder to the remaining 10 players that there are less than 2 weeks left to complete your matches which are due to be finished by 3rd March.
Please contact your opponent and schedule the matches so they can be finished on time; as always, all results by email to James Ross please so he can officially record the outcome and allocate you to the correct bracket for the first knock out round.
