The Day
A good turnout for the popular and pretty Rancamaya course which stepped up to host us at the last minute after Permata Sentul had a competition on the Sunday morning. We were to learn that so did Rancamaya but concerns were allayed when we found out it was a small members group and our arrangements were unaffected. However, to be safe a mini-shot gun was arranged and all was going well until the starter forgot we had been assigned the upstairs area for registrations and sent off half our groups before everyone was gathered in the correct groups meaning that we had a number of 2 balls spread out amongst our 4 balls.
All would have been fine but for some random groups getting inserted in the spaces between our players which delayed some groups sufficiently for them to get caught in the late afternoon downpour with around 3 or 4 holes to go. C’est la Vie and the risk of the area at the outset of the rainy season but the quality of the course and fresh mountain air meant most people were relaxed and several groups stayed for some late refreshments to avoid the rain affect toll traffic.
A warm welcome to Susanne Holl and to Sathaporn who joined us for the first time and welcome backs to Warut Waramit (35 weeks) and Sean Hill (24 weeks) along with the unmentioned President who was back after 2 months out for his knee operation.
Many thanks to VP Ric Wymer who managed the scoring and announcements and to Richard Mau for his assistance in the morning.
The Play
A hat-trick of fines this week with Sathaporn (Most Strokes) being joined by Monster Putter Richie Tiblani and our only skirt, much to the dismay of our Treasurer, Indar Dhaliwal.
Most Improved went to Tapio Jarvenpaa and First Par Handicaps >-30 to Susanne Holl who got a shirt in lieu of her prize money. First Birdie went to Jari Antikainen whilst Roger Finnie took home Low Putts.
Dave Prosser and Gurav Shirke shared Low Gross whilst Richard Mau, Jude Alexander and Michael Mueller were our Low Net winners.
Congratulations to all our winners and detailed results are here: Rancamaya 1810 Results

A last chance for everyone to get some practice during a Tee Set round on our Championship 2020 course as on Sunday we head back to one of Jakarta’s finest courses and certainly one of Tee Set’s most popular venues, Cengkareng. We will have our September Monthly Medal and the 3rd round of the Eclectic Cycle XIII as well as our usual relaxed round of golf whilst being taken care of by the excellent team at Cengkareng so there are many good reasons to sign up and come along.
If you are able to join us please sign up here. First tee time is 12.oopm as usual and the green fee is Rp.875,000. Please note that Cengkareng have in place procedures to comply with social distancing requirements; these will apply both pre- & post round plus on the course and we are all expected to follow these whilst at the Club.
Reminder: For those who would prefer not to walk, in addition to the hover boards to glide across the rolling fairways, Cengkareng has available a limited number of golf carts. If you wish to reserve one please contact the Golf reservations staff at Cengkareng directly. As the carts are limited in number and we do not have visibility to those already booked on the day, your Tee Set Committee is not involved to the reservation of the carts
