The Day
Bogor Raya is a place of beauty. The botanical gardens, the clubhouse facilities and the beautiful people make every visit a highlight of our year. Bill returned to collect his certificate for the Hole-in-One he had last year; it took a while to work out why both his first name and his surname had to have two “L”s but eventually they got it right so he now has a great momento for the man cave wall. A big thanks to Roger for stepping in to the admin role and ably handling the results manually in the absence of the laptop, which was having a sleepover.
Welcome for the first time to Nick and welcome backs to Andy and Ronan after 33 weeks away, Wayne after 20 weeks away and Guillame and Ian after 11 and 10 weeks away.
The Play

Overall scoring was very solid, full scores here.
The round of the day went to the fast improving Diarmuid with a net 60 – great to see – with fellow Irish boy band member Ronan singing the same tune with a fine 62. Ronan is one of the longest hitters we see from time to time, prone to use several fairways to get to the green, but clearly on target today, well done mate! Adrian (missing from pics below) shot a fine 68 to take Low Net A grade, shooting the lowest gross score of the day at 78, along with Roger, who was awarded Low Gross. For those who don’t know, Tee Set is a “net golfing society”, so Low Net takes precedence in prizes. Dougy burst out of the gates to take first birrrrrdie on the first hole, along with Richard, but he also had Low Putts, so one prize was enough, and he’s smiling! Al had the first sandy par but was not around for photos.

There were three skirts – Al and Andy B scuttled off before photos but it must be said they paid their fine – but Zach hung around long enough, and was rewarded, with a nice cold beer, instead of the skirt and wig, which was also having a sleepover, with the laptop.
A big thanks to the photographer, I think it was Geoff, or the talented photographer he organised to hold the camera, for excellent shots during presentations.
