Sunday 21st November: Imperial Golf Klub (with a K)

Rising above some fairly low scores to scoop the prizes, were this rogue’s gallery of winners, led in triumphant pose by George, who won the event with 38 points on a countback from Diarmuid, with evergreen Geoff in third. Simon took low gross with a very strong 76.

As usual Imperial were terrific hosts, and have now taken their famous frozen Margaritas to a new level with upgraded agave Tequila. We will definitely get back there before the end of year. The eclectic event is still running but we need to tally up scores so we can let you know where you stand before the final round. It is fittingly our ugliest of all trophies, and you would join some very past eclectic winners, including three unique Canadians, a Czech, and Italian, and Indian, a Thai, a Philippino, a Brit, a Finn, an American and a pair of Aussie battlers (for a history lesson see here).

Next Up: Saturday – yes Saturday 27th November, 2021- Tee Set Championships, Cengkareng, 11.30am

Now this deserves it’s own post, so stay tuned. It’s shaping up as an amazing day. Having tasted Pradeep’s tikka wraps last night, I will be hoping to get a shotgun start draw near Tee Box 4, where they will be waiting for us. That’s of course after one of Bob’s Hot Dogs, one of Jamal’s Bloody Mary’s and at least one of Jack’s Smoothies.

In the post, we will also announce the annual award winners for Low Net Average (1st and 2nd), Low Gross Average (1st and 2nd), Most Rounds Played (Ironman), Cross Dresser of the Year (Most Skirts)….all winners will be recognised on Saturday and given prizes. We stopped recognising skirts during the restrictions but the winner had accumulated enough by then to qualify so will be fittingly honoured.
