Yes it’s happening. Despite a slow start to registrations and so many Tee Setters still overseas we have over 100 players registered for Saturday, and it’s shaping up as an absolute cracker.
On the day, it will be a battle for Champion, Runner Up, Third and the George Bevege Low Gross, along with the skill prizes. At least that’s for those who are focused on golf…..
For now, we can annouce our annual prize winners, those who consistently performed over the year. Thanks to our stats man Keith for compiling the tables for us all the way from Liverpool, and Ric and Bebe for maintaining the database, noting a few disruptions in data this year as we transitioned to the app.
As Tee Set is a net golf society, lets kick off with…..
Low Average Net 2021: Winner: Roger Finnie (71.5); Runner Up: Girauv Shirke (72.1); Leading Lady: Juju Juhaeriah (73.1)

Low Average Gross 2021: Winner: Matt Timbrell (79.0); Runner Up: Andrew Deane (79.3) – this one was so tight it came down to the last round. Photo now found for Andrew!!!!
Iron Man (Most Rounds): Geoff Thwaites – 34, pictured here ready to pounce, the evergreen whisperer, 76 and going strong.
Cross Dresser (Most Skirts): Michael Muller -7 (a skirt is awarded for not reaching the ladies tee; we stopped skirts midway through this year – well you know why – but Michael already had enough to qualify).

A special mention too to the Tee Set Global winners, those who managed to play overseas and on courses which were open when those in Jakarta were closed. This protected Tee Set’s record of never missing a weekend, so thanks to our global heroes! In particular, the Bali Wanderers (below) and the winner of our 2000th event, which was played as Tee Set Global, the one and only Axel Hertzke.
Now before I sign off and get ready for Saturday……a special shout out to Ric who will miss his first Tee Set Championships since Cleopatra was a girl…. all the best mate!!

See you Saturday – first Bloody Mary 830……group photo and briefing 1130…Tee Off – shotgun 12…finish whenever.

Best wishes Tee Setters, hit em long and straight!
