A smaller than usual monthly medal turnout last Sunday. A bit of a clash with a big Pocksia turnout on Saturday with a long warm down event at Hitoshi and Velma’s house may have led to a slight drop off in numbers. But there was a keen number of golfers and the course looked quiet. 8 flights with a couple of matchplays being completed on the last day before the cut off. The greens were in a rather interesting condition. Looks like some of the Riverside blight may have arrived. The expert team at Cengkareng will soon have at under control.
The weather was perfect overcast but not dark, hot but not blazing midday hot. Starting in the last group i got to see all the others tee off. Vijay was most impressive in group 1, as he should be having played there the previous 5 days. There was a flight of beginners at the teebox before TeeSet set off and the cry of Fore was heard as each player teed off. This may have led to a slow round but a slow round it was. 5 hours, nursing a sore head from the night before I teed up with Dean and Riccardo. Dean was nursing a sore head and body and was in an electric cart. The game started slowly with the trees being punished for being in the wrong place. At the swing things had started to improve and as the sun faded the scoring improved. Good to see Riccardo back and his driving and pitching was much improved. His putting on the other hand needs a bit of work.
Let’s get down to the day’s winners as there is a bit of housekeeping that needs the scribes attention later in this report, and your attention when you read it.

Jason was this month’s Medal winner. With a net 68. A game well played I saw some great tee shots from Jason and he capped the win off with a victory over Claudio in the Matchplay.

Low gross was Mr Mau with a handy 78 off the stick.

First birdie and low putts to Nic. These prizes fall in the new tax year.

Mr Skills, Simon takes long drive and nearest the pin. Well done.

Axel with first Sany on the last hole. Two thumbs up to that effort.
Rancamaya Charity weekend with the D.O.G.S.
We have nearly a full field on Saturday when 20 of TeeSet’s finest do battle with the D.O.G.S.
The D.O.G.S. have taken the last 5 weeks to sharpen their game up against the early pace setters in the Jakarta Interleague comp. The skill and coolness under intense competition should be enough to see off the opposition. If you are in the TeeSet Team please wear the 2022 yellow TeeSet Shirt.
This is a charity day so please buy tickets to support the Orphans. 1 ticket for Rp100k or 3 for Rp200k. Some great prizes kindly donated by Bill from Asian Tigers, Dean, Nic, TeeSet and myself. Thanks guys for going the xtra yard for the kids.
If you are not playing in the matchplay you will be in the DOGS regular Saturday comp and can win the prizes that have each week, which are always good. The fee for Saturday is Rp100k and will be collected by the D.O.G.S.
Sunday we have a charity Scramble where the fee is Rp200k with it all going to help those Orphans. If you have a team let Rod know or he will place you with the other orphans. I got placed. The format is a Florida Scramble. This being the shot that the team chooses to played is played by everyone except the player who put the ball there. Rules will be further explained on the weekend. Great prizes for the winning teams.
