6 holes, 6 holes, half a dozen more. All in the valley of Riverside rode the Glorious eight. Forward TeeSet! Charge for Victory! Into the Valley of Riverside rode the Glorious 8
Forward Tesset! Was there a golfer dismayed? Their’s not to make reply, theirs not to reason why, their’s but to golf and die. Into the valley of Riverside rode the Glorious 8
Dogs to the right of them, Dogs to the left of them, Dogs in front of them. Pounded with birdies and pars. Boldly they golfed and well, into the jaws of death, into the mouth of hell rode the Glorious 8
When can their glory fade? Of the wild golf they played! All the world wondered. Honoured the game they played. Honour The TeeSet, & the Glorious 8
Well that was stirring wasn’t it? A great competition between TeeSet and DOGS, went down to the wire and a lipped out putt on the last is what separated the two teams. Well played TeeSetters. Thanks Dean for your leadership and well played all.
Albert and Jeff got off to a slow start but soon reeled the opposition in to take their match in style. Dean & Geoff fought a bit harder to win their two ball but got the job done. Craig & Michael had a to and fro battle on their hands before losing on the last with a lipped out putt. Daniel and Axel were our single players and came up against a strong Dogs pair who prevailed on the day. This result leaves TeeSet still on the top half of the table with 2 to play and we know that we will not shirk the challenge that lies a head as we strive for victory. Onwards Glorious TeeSet onwards.
Of special note on this Interleague day was Pocksia Player, Bruce Smart, getting a career first Hole in One on the par 3 2nd. Well done.
Conditions on the day started hot but cooled to a very pleasant temperature. Riverside had a morning comp that slowed the start by a bit but once they had left the course things moved along at a very nice pace. The banter back in the sheds after the game was amiable and beer delivery service was a bit slow. Teesetters helped turn off the lights as they revelled in the stories of holes lost and won.
Let’s get to the winners as there were quite a few regular TeeSetters joined for a Stableford round also.

Dean back in a bit of form picking up the lollies for best Stableford 44 and first Sandy Par on the first hole. Well done Skipper

Pras took low gross with a well played 84

Albert get’s the Presidential thumbs up for the first birdie on the 16th. Well played.

TeeSet’s finest putter last Sunday was Jane, with 32 puts on very fast greens. Well done.
