This little beauty was spotted on the 6th I believe by Anna. I remember once, when out in the wilds of BSD, before the concreter arrived, I had seen a lot of snakes whilst on na ramble and I asked a farmer what sort of snakes they had in this area. His reply cobras just cobras. The same is not the same at Cengkareng as last year a python was found on the 14th. Young Craig Edwards had an encounter at Cengkareng a few years back where a tasteless cobra gave him a nip and he stopped growing. So be very careful, my local course at home forbids players entering the bush during October & November due to Tiger snake breeding seasons they don’t stop your growth like a cobra they just stop you dead in your tracks. Don’t panic be like Anna and take a photo from a safe distance you are not on the menu, Craig probably was.
A few players with sore heads were seen in the clubrooms drinking large sodas and ice coffee in an attempt to take the pain away. The Pocksia mob need to stop having their day on the eve of ours. The pain, the pain.
We had 41 players registered which led to a bunch of 3 balls needing to be organised then someone dropped out leaving us with 40 players. Golf is not compulsory but it is compulsory to register and deregister. Play was a bit delayed as the club has new carts and it seemed everyone in the pre-TeeSet tee off groups had one. The start was slow and stayed that way all day but surprisingly we were home in just under 4.5 hours. The three ball behind us were rather rude but were seldom seen on a fairway but we unfortunately meet them at a few rest stops. Constantly trying to play through and complaining about the speed of and quality of play. This may have earned you a final flight starting position for the next 4 years. It’s good to be President. Conditions were hot at the start but by 2pm the temperature had started to drop. The wind picked up slightly taking the sting out of the day. The President met his wife as she maneuvered here cart between the hills of the 12th as she came looking for her ball played from the 11th. She was happy having just nailed a birdie carefree of the act that she was in the middle of the wrong fairway and a double would be a good result. I headed off to the 11th where I had strategically placed my drive and managed a well grafted 6 on the par 3 12th.
Back in the club house things were warming up Dean had seen a two hour delay to his flight to KL so was getting into his cups. The food and the booze was flowing The Sheard’s group finally arrived before the sun went down and onto the prizes we shall go.
An impressive round sall Sari master the course with a dominate net 65.
Claudio breaks into a big grin with a best gross 74 and low putts 26. The man is enjoying a purple patch on the course.
Richard Sheard nailed the first birdie on hole 1 as did 3 other golfers but due to financial restraints we gae it to the youngest. Well done to the birdie boys.

This course is being rebuilt at the back of Hambalang so sign up and play the original this Saturday on MyGolf2U. Built on the side of the Cikeas river which then flows past Jagorawi, Emeralda and Riverside. A great course that is in easy striking distance of Jakarta.
Then head back to JAkarta to join Bull & Vine’s first anniversary party. All the best folk will be there.
