Dot Dot Dash Dash I lost the cash

The weekend started off swimmingly with the AFL Grand Final. In the words of Bill Grey, as I predicted, the Brisbane Lions had a glorious victory. At game end, it was when I should have headed to the exit, but alas my pal Alcohol had other ideas and after helping close the doors at the footy venue it was off into the night. Awakening Sunday morning I was thinking my head was about to explode. A light breakfast of sausages, bacon, eggs and toast washed down with a big black coffee made me feel human for all of a nano second then the drum beats recommenced in my head. Cengkareng, Cengkareng, Cengkareng.

We had a passenger in the car today in the form of Hana so I could sit in the back seat and tap time to the head drum beats. Cengkareng, Cengkareng, Cengkareng. Arriving at the course the ATM rejected my card, my HP had gone missing and the drums kept on beating. A donut and a coffee later we were called to the tee boxes, being in the second last group there was no need to head for the sweltering outdoors, so Nic, Paul, Bill and myself chilled to the beat of the drums. I believe I am the only one that heard them. The Delta promotion girl was planted next to the non dispensing ATM what else could go wrong?

Well let’s not bother in finding out, lets go straight to the prizes. In the lead up to them, scanning a quick eye over the players list there were some fairly handsome rounds. Carter and Andrew played well, Gambhir had a nice round. Amongst the girls Sari and Rey were around their handicap number. Fernando led the batpack and I never saw Vijay all day. There’s a win. Just kidding Vijay. Who loves ya?

The Winners

Jude the Dude was the medal winner with a 66 nett. Well done champ. That’s a very big thumb you have there. You know what they say about people with very big thumbs? They have very big thumbs.

Low gross was Ian, who seems to have gone a bit dotty. Well done on the 76 off the stick.

The birdie mob Eli and Sam getting the job done on the first.

Long drive in blustery conditions goes to Fernando with a 236 monster. Who’s ya daddy?
