Sunday saw the last round of the Jakarta Interleague and pride and glory was at stake as teams jockeyed to improve their final standings. Jaws were sitting comfortably in first place baring a disaster they looked good to claim the title. Wolves, after a TeeSet thumping in round one, were in need of a win to get outright second place if not first place. They had a narrow win over Pocksia to claim second place outright after Glorious Teeset had a draw with the Tin Cups. Meaning Tin Cups finished 3rd and Glorious Teeset moved into outright 4th.

The teams for TeeSet on Sunday were Singles: Sam & Daniel. Sam lost his singles and Danial managed to halve his round. This gave danial the enviable season’s figure of 5 wins ,1 draw and 1 loss

The Pairs of Andrew and Jeff had a nice win 2/1 with Andrew playing his first game for the season

Douglas & Michael had a comfortable win 5/4 with Douglas putting in a great round to anchor the flight.

Craig and Vishal suffered a narrow loss on the last hole in what was obviously a very tight game. This was Vishal’s first game also for the season.

This was a suucessful season after struggling to break through last year. We have the makings of a good squad and with a few more players we should take a big stride forward next year in our quest for victory. A big thanks to all the players who volunteered this season and to our leadership team of Sam and Dean. We all look forward to taking on the challenge in 2025.

To make sure you are eligible to play in the Interleague Team you need to have an up-to-date MyGolf2U handicap, meaning a minimum of 5 games. It is alos worth noting that regular TeeSetters will always be given preference over the player who appears on the odd occasion.

The JIL day was a lot of fund with 7 TeeSet flights joining in on the final day and the course was fairly crowded but pace of play was superb. With this many players of all different standards the cry of fore was echoing around the golf course. It is important to call fore if you hit a big banana shot onto the other fairways or clank a tree at high speed. A hit from a golf ball can be dangerous. Also when you hear the call of FORE take precautions it only takes a second to put your hands over your head and duck. The only golfer who may have an exemption is the President, being deaf in one ear he has no idea what direction the ball could be coming from and is basically a sitting duck.

David takes low putts with 26. David nailed a beautiful chip from the edge of the greenside rough on the 3rd hole of the day being the most memorable on a day when his flat stick was on fire.

TeeSet Matchplay Championship

The players left in the comp need to get their games sorted as we are just over a month away from the Championship. This Sunday presents as a great opportunity where men and women’s tees are well positioned.

TeeSet Annual Championship 23 of November

The date is set the bookings are made it is now up to you TeeSetters to support this spectacular annual event. This year we will be back at Cengkareng for the first time in 3 years. There will be great days golf as per usual where we the TeeSet champions will be honoured. The committee have been working hard to get this day right and have prepared many apres golf treats including a sumptuous buffet and drinks bar including beers, wines mixed drinks and cocktails. On the course there will be a snack stop and an adult beverage booth. There will be a goody bag and lucky draw prizes. A special prize for the golfer who submits the best golf photo of the day via our Whatsapp group. Plus music and dancing into the evening. All for the great value of Rp1.900.000. Cheaper than previous years.
