Permata means jewel, gemstone in Bahasa and this course is the jewel in the crown of the mountain courses. It is quite hard to getting a booking there on most weekends, luckily Ramadan rolls around sometime each year which leaves bookings light on most courses. 32 golfers headed out to take on the challenges of this course and the course won. Permata Sentul punishes the wayward golfer and some long dog leg holes are not for the wee hitters off the tee. Strategically placed boulders and bunkers keeps golfers on their toes and this is even before arriving on the greens which have plenty of read in them.
I missed the game on Sunday but have enjoyed many a golf game there over the years and have spent even more times cutting across fairways whilst running hash. But the word filtering down from Sentul is a return is in need as TeeSetters strive to meet the challenge this course offers.
On to the Winners

King of the hill, Shyam with 37 Stableford points. Low putts also 33.
That’s 3 weeks in a row that the higher handicap players have stepped up and taken the prize.

Low gross goes to Carter with a 78. Well played and nearly a hole in 1, plus a Matchplay win over last years champion. A good day all round.

Roberto takes the first birdie at the second hole. Ah this golf game is very easy.

The games have started and the results are rolling in. We need to have all first round games completed before Easter so we can divide the winners and the losers into their new tables.
