6 flights of TeeSetters headed out last Sunday. Numbers may have been low due to the amount of rain the DOGS have been experiencing on their Saturday Hillside rounds. The mountain men and women who showed up on Sunday are all experienced Mountain golfers and they know it never rains on TeeSet Sunday.
With an earlier than usual start a couple of golfers barely made it in time and a couple were a bit late. Always read the tee times in the MyGolf2U app to avoid confusion. Next time you will be mentioned in a highlighted TeeSet scribe report. We Teed off on the crack of 11.30 and the game was on. The 3 ball in front soon disappeared as did the four ball behind us. This made for blissful golfing conditions as shots were unhurried and missing balls were looked for. Jens was hosting Jess’s buddy from the States John in his cart and both myself and Jess had separate carts due to gravitational forces that are present at Gunung Geulis.
The greens had this writer’s mind completely fried on the first 9 and the second 9 was not much better. Jens was banging them in from all over the green and John steadily improved. The TeeSet average for the day was on the northside of 36 putts. Richard and Mike handled the conditions on the green as did Sepand. Chairman Bill on the other hand was trying to break records for 3 putting. Luckily Nico is in Singapore these days.
A lot of ball sellers around the course, which is a good idea for the golfers amongs us that like to hit it long into the trees. Of economic relevance, as we live through the TACO Tariff Wars, is that balls get cheaper the later the day becomes. The course and greens were in great order, better than many courses further north that is for sure. Hats off to GG management as once again they put together a well organised day with nary a hitch. Nary is a word seldom used these days.
Let’s get to the winners, as I have a long 3 days of golf kicking off in a few hours.

Stan takes the Stableford prize with 37 points. Well done that 30 minutes of extra sleep must have helped.

Bags with an 87 takes low gross

Sepand takes the bird money on the first and would have had the above two prizes but for slow presentation of scorecard and too long in the showers.

Rosie takes Sandy Par on the 17th

Richard with 30 taps of the flat stick had less struggles than most on the greens.
Jarkarta Interleague Pondok Cabe Sunday 22nd
Glorious TeeSet head to PC to do battle and will move up the table with the decisive victory we have planned for this Sunday. JIL plays alongside TeeSet this Sunday so come on down and join the day. Cheapest beers on the course, greens are amongst the best kept in Jakarta and it is pretty close to where we live and well serviced by Toll Roads. Sign up on MyGolf2U app. Get the App from the google store or Apple store.
Cheers and happy golfing
