The TeeSet 2025 Championship

What a day 71 golfers and weather to delight all. It was a day that would be all about speed of play as we attempted to move so many players around the course, before the sunset on The Manor. And we rocked along. Our group knocked off the first 9 holes in just under 2 hours. The second 9 in a bit over 2 hours where a short delay at the 4th enabled us to down a couple of San Miguel Lights.

There were many highlights of the day. For me personally it was not the sandy par on the second but the power of Bob, who had 4 HotHed dogs delivered to us on the 6th hole just as the pangs of hunger were setting in. The San Miguels at the Hothed Hot Dog Van, helped with re-hydration as we entered our back 9. The greens at Cengkareng, whilst not back to their best, have improved over the last year. There was little to fault the course on as conditions favoured good scores.

We had asked the players to enter their scores during the round on MyGolf2u, which is a good idea as it allows you to figure how many shots you need to make to avoid last spot. It also gave the crowded top end of the table an opportunity to see what was needed to get amongst the trophy winners. It was tight at the top with 16 players getting 40 Stableford points or more, and another 11 players playing to or better than their handicap on the day with Stableford scores of 36 or more. We had two Eagles on the day, the eagle players being Carter and Emil on hole 5. This hole also produced a Sandy Birdie from Albert.

The winners of the 2025 TeeSet Championship, Bill Lloyd 44 pts, & Sari Smith 45pts. Congratulations to our Mens & Womens champions of 2025.

Second place finishers were Velma and Roger. Well done

Ric presenting the Wymer Cup to the 2025 Matchplay champion, Shinta.

The Matchplayer finalists Tom & Shinta, with Shinta prevailing in a hard fought win 2&1. Well played to you both.

Low Gross on the day went to Chris with a fairly handy 2 under 70. Maybe he needs to play in the larger shirt size more often?

Prior to, during and after the presentations TeeSetters enjoyed an excellent buffet and delicious cake from JS Luwansa, and worked their way through 70 bottles of red and white wine and a few dozen beers and an odd Margarita or 2. Many winners of lucky draw prizes, and some dodgy music all added to an excellent event and evening. The brave stayed late, a few had DOGS and Pocksia commitments on Sunday most had a hangover to nurse.

SPONSORS

We must acknowledge our sponsors here. Without their sponsorship it would be with great difficulty that we could put on such a wonderful event. The sponsors would also appreciate the support of TeeSetters as it is a two way street.

This Sunday 7th of December Imperial Golf Club Karawaci

Sign up on MyGolf2U and enjoy the challenges of this unique course. The clubhouse facilities are second to none and it is easy to reach via the toll roads. We have a late tee off time so you can sleep off those Bull and Vine excesses, but it is a shotgun start so we won’t be chasing the sun. See you there.

A big thanks to the Committee and Adhe for the effort in getting the Championship organised.

Golf on, golf on
