Matoa, 31st March 2013

While the bulk of Tee Set was enjoying itself in the glorious mountains of Bandung for the Easter break, a hardy few remained behind to continue the unbroken tradition of a Tee Set weekend game in Jakarta – and with Chris Smith delegating for the committee.

Chris’s report of the day’s slightly rain foreshortened activities at Matoa follows.

I set out early so as to be set up and imitating at least a little of the flawless organization and administration that Tuti regularly provides. My Bluebird taxi was involved in not one, not two but three traffic accidents in a one hour forty-five minute journey from SCBD to Matoa which made me realize the anxiety a silver ball in a pinball machine must suffer. I admit to tipping the driver double on the condition that he strongly consider my suggestion that he seek another career when his probationary license expires next week in April.

The BLO (Bandung Left-Overs) numbered 13; three of whom completed new member registration forms – Gillian Arnold, Lina Bunter and Debbie Minicola, so a big welcome to them all, while no one owned up to being a Welcome Back. We sorted ourselves into four flights and teed off in blazing sunshine on the stroke of 11:30, energized that our Pawang Hujan clearly hadn’t forgotten us. Praise for the PH turned sour by the 14th, however, where three of the four flights took shelter from the wind (hurricane force) rain (driving) and thunder and lightning (so close that one of the new members described the air as “fizzing”).

But in between the 1st and the 14th some good and enjoyable golf was played. The following members had something in particular to enjoy:

Craig Binks took low gross with a 67 … before any hysteria that these numbers may generate I hasten to add we used a weather shortened 14 holes …

Craig Binks struck again with low putts 21, but was ruled ineligible having already received a 100K so Bob Fleischmann’s name was called for a very credible 23 but Bob was OB and it will be the Committee who rejoices as the 100K went back into the kitty.

Geoff Thompson was looking confident having carded a birdie on the 2nd but Gareth Hopkins got the nod for the 100K starting his round with a birdie on the 1st.

No sandies; no 1st pars for HC>30; no Most Improved … so the next 100K went to Debbie Minicola for closest to the pin on the 12th. Your scribe was feeling pretty pleased with himself for hiring two spare caddies to wait at the 12th (nearest the pin) and 9th (longest drive) and provide independent measurement and place the marker flags .. some of that feeling was quickly deflated as Debbie was ready to challenge any other claims on the basis the caddie on the 12th didn’t know his feet from his inches or arse from his elbow or something like that. As it turns out Debbie need not have worried the 5m recorded on the flag against her name made her the only member to land on the 9th green – except for your humble scribe and I conceded to Debbie. That concession was an easy choice as the 100K for the longest drive (a modest 223m – but straight up the middle) went to … me, your humble if long-driving scribe.

Even the long drive had its touch of controversy – Norman Bunter playing in the last flight with me had hit his ball about 4m further on that narrow 9th but it was perched centimeters from the lip of a bunker – Norman mounted a challenge that as the groundsman had run the mower around the lips of the bunker the short mown grass constituted fairway … here the modest investment in an independent marker paid dividends as the ball was still ruled to be in the rough.

So the BLO finished a happy day, a few of them with rewards – none with penalties, it may have been a rain-shortened 14 hole game but we all packed something into it.

Brilliant, many thanks to Chris for his very prompt and full report of the day from the Bandung Left Overs; it is clear that we have additional Tee Set scribing resource for the future. Just a couple of photos next time, Chris!

PS by turning in a surplus  for Tee Set funds of 700,000 roops on the day, Chris also demonstrated that he has future Tee Set Treasurer potential!

PPS An early reminder that next Sunday sees us at the course which many consider to be the finest on Tee Set’s roster and certainly the most popular by numbers, Rancamaya, where green fees of 550,000 including cart,  for a venue that regularly attracts more than 50 Tee Setters must surely be the bargain of  the season. Early registration for the game is advised in case we have to limit numbers on this occasion.

Next Round in Jakarta – Matoa, Sunday 31st March

matoaThose left behind in Jakarta have no need to leave their clubs in the garage on Sunday as 4 flights have been arranged at Matoa with a Tee Time of 11:30 with Green Fees etc set at the usual 650,000 roops for this attractive course, including cart – or 540,000 walking.

Chris Smith has kindly volunteered to lead the event so, if you intend joining, please help him by filling in the usual simple form here.

Enjoy your golf!!

Next Up: The Bandung Bash, 29th March-1st April

Getting there

The 5th Bandung Bash has seen a significant increase in numbers with lots of newcomers this year so probably a good idea therefore to make sure they (and the more forgetful of the old timers) get to the place without disaster.

In fact, considering it is relatively far away at 174 kilometers and 2 hours 24 minutes according to Google, the Bandung Giri Gahana course is pretty much a breeze to get to. We are confident that even Binksy driving himself can do this one without having to pay anything substantial in the way of fines.

In brief, get yourself onto the Cikampek Jalan Tol heading East and keep going to the end; the Tol changes name from time to time but don’t get confused – resist the temptation to turn off anywhere and just keep going straight on .

At the end of the Tol you are just 2 miles from the course itself when you will finally pay your toll money and exit to the small town of Jatinagor where you hang a left, hang a right to go up the hill and turn left at the University complex and then continue on, largely through the course, until you will find yourself at the Giri Gahana Hotel on the course itself. Reward yourself with a coffee on the terrace, or perhaps something stiffer, and enjoy the stunning view.

Other Useful Stuff

The hotel takes Visa and MasterCard and there is a CIMB Bank Niaga ATM on the premises, though it might be a risk too far  to rely on it exclusively.

More than adequate supplies of beer are available at the hotel but anything else is a challenge – so come well provisioned with that anything else, there are no corkage charges.

If you are paranoid then carefully store your clubs in your room every night; otherwise leave them with the staff when they will magically turn up every day.

Tee Times

Friday: 13:00

Saturday: 12:00

Sunday: 07:44

Monday: 08:00

Sunday is also Fun Fancy Dress event with the winner determined by popular acclamation. By special concession, if necessary then you are allowed to take off your fancy dress in order to swing.

Jagorawi and Pangkalan Jati, 24th March 2013

Interleague

In an exciting Interleague match up at Jagorawi New Course, Reichlmeier’s Raiders pulled off a great result against the Tin Cups, coming up with a 5 – 5 at the death.

Mike Garwood won his match against James Young, 1 up

Mick Kilfoyle took Joseph Peries to the last hole but lost 1 down

Peter R + Geoff T lost to Bien and Margo  2 and 1

Richard Newcombe and Evaldo Roos were all square after 18 holes against Mike Harling and Bill Lloyd

Mel Meeds and Graham Stallworthy beat David Baglivo and Jack Calcote 2 and 1

The sharper eyed amongst you will spot that most of the Tin Cups team are regular Tee Setters. Shomething wrong, shurely?

Well done, Team Tee Set!

Tee Set @ Jagorawi

Besides the Interleague players, another 7 Tee Setters showed for the day’s fun with everyone up for the usual Tee Set awards which were as follows:

Jags 2

A particularly exciting day for Newcomer, Will Ashbee, who took 1st Sandy, most strokes on any hole and a Desmond Tutu on his debut. It won’t always be as exciting Will, welcome to Tee Set!

JagsDetailed Jagorawi results can be seen by clicking on the graphic to the right.

Tee Set @ Pangkalan Jati

Meanwhile, at Pangkalan Jati  for the first time this year, 10 Tee Setters were taking advantage of ideal weather conditions on another course which appears to be under new management and with a very discernible improvement in the fairways and greens since our last visit.

Unfortunately, for those who take a cart at least, this has largely been achieved by restricting access to just the cart paths on much of the course by the insertion of many hundreds of bamboo stakes 😦

PJ is never a walkover, however, and Low Gross was to be a somewhat elevated 87 from Chazz Hassig who shot an uneven 41-46-87, while Reka Romango was Most Improved with an even more uneven 57-48-105: well done Reka.

With regular child minding duties on Sundays we don’t see too much of Chazz, so well done him, too.

PJ

Full Pangkalan Jati scores can be seen by clicking on the graphic to the right.

Next Week

Next weekend, starting on Friday for some – and continuing to Monday for some, is of course the Bandung Bash when Tee Set lets its hair down down even more vigorously than usual.  Other than to confirm that the Friday round starts at 13:00 to give everyone plenty of time to get there from Jakarta, we will leave the rest of the news and info to a post dedicated to the event in a day or so.

As mentioned previously, Tee Set will be holding a Sunday event at Matoa next week, teeing off at 11:00 for those not making the trip to Bandung for the weekend – and Chris Smith has kindly voluntered to steer the event in the absence of the entire committee. Many thanks, Chris.

If you intend playing Matoa next Sunday then please complete the usual “Yes, I’m playing form” so as to give Chris an idea of likely numbers. Those playing Bandung Giri Gahana should do nothing; we know where you live.

Yours aye, Geoff

Next Round – Jagorawi New Course or Pangkalanjati, Sunday 17th March

Golf sucksIt’s that time again with Peter Reichlmeier leading his boys and girls into battle in the first round of the year’s Interleague at Jagorawi. As usual the Interleague will be a semi-shotgun start at 9:30 –  if you are playing in the team then you should probably know by now.

If you are not in the Interleague team for Sunday then you have two choices, also playing at Jagorawi after the Interleague kicks off and starting at aroud 10:00, when green fees etc are 1 million roops including cart, or joining a group playing at the rather more prosaic Pangkalanjati where tee off will be at 11:30 with Green Fees of  475,000 roops with cart – or 400,000 walking.

If you intend playing at Jagorawi then please fill in the usual form at “Yes, I’m playing!” or, if intending to play Pangkalajati, then drop Keith Miller an e-mail here, so that we can get a better handle on numbers.

The following week sees the long-awaited annual Bandung Bash at the fabulous Giri Gahana Course to the east of Bandung – where we can tell you the staff are already getting excited about the return of the crazy gang of Bules for their entertainment once again.

A reminder that the Friday Giri Gahana round, for those joining it, will tee off at 13:00 to give you plenty of time to get there from Macet Central in Jakarta. You should allow a minimum of three hours for the journey – but you may be pleasantly suprised and have plenty of time for coffee and a snack on the hotel resturant terrace and take in the amazing panorama.

We have not forgotten those who are not travelling to Bandung and who would wish to play on Sunday 31st March. We have booked 4 Flights for Matoa on that day but, with the Committee and Secretary galavanting in Bandung, we need someone to lead the group that day. Responsibilities are light and unpaid but generally enjoyable so, please drop Geoff Thwaites a line if you would like to volunteer, it truly would be much appreciated.

A few first round match play results to report:

Guy Young conceded to Wina Nugraha

Ignatius Woo conceded to Fernando Gaggino

Graham Stallworthy beat Paul Evert 6 and 5

Chris Smith beat Geoff Thwaites 6 and 5

Cucu beat Evaldo Roos 1 up

Well done winners, your reward is a place in the stronger “Emas” Bracket, while the losers/conceders move to the “Kuningan bracket”. The structure of the brackets will be available next week.

Finally, wherever you play this weekend, have fun and enjoy your golf!!

PS Best of luck to the Tee Set Interleaguers on Sunday – no pressure, but it’s time to punch our weight in that competition, guys and gals 🙂

Pondok Cabe, 10th March 2013

Sunday had us back at Pondok Cabe once again with a very impressive total of 40 players getting away on time from two tee boxes on a course in good condition and with the greens playing much faster than they looked, to the embarrassment of some.

The now traditional pre-game Presidential jugs of beer got many off to a jovial start – though all participants, as required by Tee Set’s only bye-law, were able to stand unassisted when teeing off from the first teebox.

WELCOME BACKS

Welcome Backs actually out-numbered regulars this week, so too many to mention all but, notably, our Pawang Hujan, Graham McGeady, returned safely from India where he didn’t lose his balls, mainly because he didn’t play. Graham did however bring some threatening clouds with him on his return, though his powers were sufficient to ensure another glorious, near perfect day weather-wise.

old fartsAlso great to see long time past President, Clyde Wickiser, amongst us again and clearly enjoying his golf; we hope to see  you more often, Clyde.

Clyde is in green above in a photo rather unkindly labelled “Old Farts” by our immediate past President.

NEW MEMBERS

We were also delighted to welcome four new members this week, the most for a while; great to have you with us Ramon, Joe Amantoi, Renny Sperry and Andre Wondermuelen (hope we got the spelling right) – enjoy your golf with Tee Set, guys.

RESULTS

Graham low nettCongratulations to Graham Stallworthy getting low gross with a fine 41/39/80 and of course to Tom Alcedo for proving that there is still plenty of life in the old dog by carding a tremendous low nett of 67 – well done, Tom!!

Tom has also dropped the price of that fine piece of solid teak shoe and purse cupboard for the Lady in your life to 2 million roops, so don’t miss it.

Ivan Byriel’s success rate at snagging first par for the over 30 handicappers is of course a tribute to his handicap management skills more than anything, while Mel Cantarella’s  happiness at avoiding a Desmond for once was to be somewhat tempered by finding himself “winning” Monster Putter.

???????????????????????????????The loudest and longest expletive of the day was heard coming from Raymond Leong, who found himself the only Tee Setter to fail to pass the Ladies Tee all day – and of course get himself one of Tee Set’s world-famous Desmonds.

Lack of role clarity in the committee (erm, Ric) meant the Tutu had been left behind in Ric’s garage however, and Raymond was to be pictured instead with a plant pot – for reasons that quite escape your correspondent.

Evaldo Roos once again won Longest Drive, this time with 251 meters on the 18th while Cameron Fischer took Nearest to the Pin at 4.7 metres.

PCabeClick on the icon to the right to see the day’s full detailed results.

BANDUNG BASH

We now have an astonishing 34 players registered for the 5th Bandung Bash – a record.

To avoid surpises, Ibu Endang will be sending an estimated bill in the next few days to all participants, covering room, breakfast, green fees, caddy and buggy. This plus any other charges you might incur should be paid immediately prior to departure.

A usually reliable little bird tells us, following the Romangos joining up today, that there may be just one room still available at the course hotel, so drop Ibu Endang a line if you would like to join in a great weekend of golfing fun at the Bandung Bash.

SAIGON

A significant number of Tee Setters played during the week, both day and night, in Saigon,Vietnam; Ric, Geoff, Igi, Mike, Robert, Bill, Vigo, Craig, ED Snr. By all accounts, everyone scored well and agreed it had been a fantastic trip.

Your President was particularly pleased to have to pay his own airfare and travel in a 737; the last time he made the trip to Vietnam was nearly fifty years ago, at Government expense and in a Hercules transport.

MATCHPLAY

Jesse Baker is doing a fine job of organising our Tee Set Match Play competition for 2013 –  and there were three contests fought out on Sunday to go with one that managed to get finished in the rain-soaked fun of the previous week at Palm Hill.

So we are making good early progress, though we all know what can happen later 😦

Congrats to the Matchplay winners and commiserations to the losers, though of course being the first round means that nobody is actually out of the event so far.

Results will be published as and when they become available; please remember to promptly send results and any commentary to Jesse.

All who signed up for the Matchplay should have recevied an e-mail reminder this week setting out the rules of the competition, the first round draw and contact details for all particiapnts. Let Jesse know if you didn’t get it.

NEXT WEEK

  1. MAIN EVENT  JAGOWARI  in conjunction with INTER LEAGUE.
  2. ALTERNATE AT Pangkalanjati

If you confirm your attendance online this week then you will be registered for JAGOWARI.

Last month the committee decided to support play at an alternate location whenever we play Interleague so, if you prefer to play Pangkalanjati (3 flights have been booked for 11:30), then please advise Keith by email.

Thank you all for making Tee Set the most recognized golf society in Jakarta. It’s all about the fun mixed in with a bit of golf.

Best regards – and hope to see you Sunday!

Next Round – Pondok Cabe, Sunday 17th March @11:30

planeAs recently as two years ago Pondok Cabe was a distinctly 3rd class Jakarta golfing venue, however, with some well-directed hard work on the greens and fairways by the management and ground staff, a relatively switched on Starter, the expansion of the cart fleet from 2 (?) to 30 and a start being made to putting proper cart paths throughout the course things have been turned around.

Add to all that the sort of green fees and bar prices that can only happen on a course owned by a National Oil company and it has become a venue well worth visiting – and the place now a firm fixture on the Tee Set Schedule.

We will start from tee boxes 1 and 10 on Sunday at 11:30 and, with the rainy season apparently in its death throes and our Pawang Hujan returned from his overseas follies, all is looking good for an excellent day.

Handicaps have been updated for the day and can be found here.

As ever please let us know if you intend playing by completing the “Yes, I’m playing” form.

Our classifieds section has got off to a good start and only a couple of items remain so if you have anything to get rid of then let us know.

Finally, please check your clubs if you played at Palm Hill last Sunday to see if you recognise them; if you don’t then it is likely that the ones you have belong to Dave Baglivo who will be happy to swap them back as soon as possible.

See ya Sunday!

PS In case you were wondering, the photo above is of a light training plane that crashed on the course a year or three ago but – with no training flights scheduled and with Geoff “Biggles” Thwaites also out of country – we should only be at risk from the usual shanks and duck hooks on Sunday.

Palm Hill, 10th March 2013

Palm Hill rain2In truth, Tee Set has had a most remarkable run this rainy season with, until today, not a single round lost to the rain and few enough rain delays. At least in part we should be grateful to our Pawang Hujan, Graham McGeady, for his sterling efforts; the mutterings about getting a new Pawang Hujan heard after today’s round are surely premature, especially as he was having to project his influence from over three thousand miles away in India.

Great turnout for the attractive Palm Hill course, undoubtedly the highest ever at 45 Tee Setters, however of those who started just 12 lucky and determined golfers managed to finish a very rain delayed round as darkness began to fall some six and a half hours after teeing off. Some confusion over whether tee off was 11:30 or 12:00 but the Starter made us all happy by getting us away at 11:15 thanks to a great job by VP Peter Reichelmeier putting flights together for those 45 players in just 10 minutes!!

Another plus was that the green fees etc were 508,000 roops rather than the 588,000 advertised, a saving of more than two much needed beers at Palm Hill’s attractive tariff rates 🙂

For the hard of hearing, the eye candy is on the right ….

A warm welcome back  to Steve Harper after 4 years away from Jakarta while Tim Davis was also a notable returnee and indeed Marshall Jones after being laid up for a while. All in all there were 19 welcome back players, so too many to mention all, however, a big Tee Set welcome to Charles Kidd and Dan Boyd on their first rounds with us; we hope they will not be discouraged by the rain – it’s not often like that, guys!!

In fact everybody managed to get in at least 9 holes in glorious sunshine before the heavens opened up when, with the greens flooded, it looked like it was all over for the day – but with the availability of cheap beer and plenty of eye candy in the club house, the 12 diehards sat out the storm. Rather inevitably the beer took its toll on the standard of golf but nevertheless, for those who did, it was well worth the wait just to get back out there and enjoy the sunset and accompanying scenery. With Mount Salak as the backdrop, the course was truly majestic in its beauty late on.

Despite the rain restricted level of activity, your committee managed to award most of the prizes, though rather later than is the norm. Particular noteworthy was a 96 by Johannes Pesch allowing him to take low net with 72, while Paul Evison must consider himself rather unlucky to have won Monster Putter with a regulation 36 putts, though can take some consolation in the hour being so late that there is no photographic evidence of him pictured with the dreaded monkey!!

Palm Hill Prize Summary

Palm Hill Detailed results

Detailed results, looking really rather bare due to the 33 incomplete rounds can be seen by clicking on the graphic you see to the right. Plenty of skirts to report and most were paid up. Norman Bunter, Paul Evison, Calvin Arneson, Ed Tarog, Shane Rowles and Marshall Jones. After coming up dry two weeks in a row, a smile finally returned to our treasurer’s recently troubled visage.

So, well done to those who saw it through to the less than bitter end – and commiserations to the rest of us, not least your webmaster who came rather inadequately equipped with neither umbrella nor rain jacket and resembled nothing so much as a drowned rat by the time he gave up in despair at the 13th after having suffered a second complete head to foot soaking – “it was the sound of squelching in my golf shoes as I walked that finally convinced me to come off” he told us.

Finally, next Sunday’s round will be at the much improved Pondok Cabe course when green fees etc will be a bargain 400,000 roops including cart – or 325,000 walking with an 11:30 first tee time from tee boxes 1 and 10. And it will NOT rain on our parade; or we really will be looking for a new Pawang Hujan! Sign up for Pondok Cabe when you are ready to commit.

???????????????????????????????

the rainy season’s last fling? – let’s hope so

Next Round – Palm Hill, Sunday 10th March @11:30

palm_hill_country_clubOn Sunday we return once again to the very attractive Palm Hill course off the Jagorawi Tol for our second visit of the year. Your committee has once again managed to obtain an equally attractive rate of Rp.588,000 for this fine course, including shared cart. We will tee off from 1 and 10 at 11:30. Handicaps for Palm Hill can be found here.

To give us a solid idea on numbers and thereby ensure smooth and meaningful negotiations with the Palm Hill starter, kindly complete the “Yes, I am playing” form if you intend joining on Sunday.

Your selfless committee spent several hours at Star Deli in Kemang last evening drinking far too much and flirting with the barmaids ensuring that the 2013 Tee Set Matchplay was well under control and the 1st round draw properly and fairly made.

The draw has thrown up a number of interesting face-offs for the first round including Joseph Peries against immediate past President Ric Wymer which, with Ric’s game coming back on song and a healthy handicap advantage, should be a close one while last year’s winner, David Baglivo, will be fully tested by Aussie iron man, Graham McGeady, assuming the latter has recovered from an exclusive month-long diet of curry, rice and chipati following his return from Rajasthan.

Here is the full draw, any complaints and/or brown envelopes to Jesse Baker.

Match Play Draw

The first round does of course do no more than set up the two conferences for further play, the first round winners going into the “Emas” or Gold Conference and the “Kuningan” or Brass Conference. After that things proceed to the knockout stages.

Matchplay can now take place at any time from now, including this Sunday at Palm Hill if both adversaries can agree it in time! And, repeating our annual plea, PLEASE get your games played in a timely manner – Jesse has threatened to be very tough with stragglers without a really good excuse this year.

Your committee also went on to discuss initial planning for the 2013 Tee Set Championship and a very special extra event in the near future. It would be wise to expect the unexpected.

SPE

One of the great highlights of the Jakarta golf year is of course the SPE event held at Jagorawi with play this time, such are the numbers, being on both the Old and New courses. The tournament is to Jakarta Golf as Ascot and the Derby is to the English racing season, top class and not a cheap skate affair!!

As you will see from the flyer, registration for non-SPE members starts on Monday 11th March; if you are interested then you should not delay as places are usually filled within a day of two of registration being opened.

Hope to see ya Sunday …..

JABABEKA, 3rd March 2013

Sunday saw us at JABABEKA for the first time this year with an easy drive from Kemang taking just 50 minutes and with, for once, nobody in the group owning up to missing the turn off.

The course itself was singificantly overbooked, which is what might hardly be described as newsworthy for JABABEKA, so our 27 players stoically battled their way around the course in a marathon five and a half hours. One group got caught in very heavy traffic, however, taking over 3 hours to complete the first nine when they made a decision to “scoot”.

The rest finished with no significant complaints about the course, however the greens were surprisingly fast and caught some out on the first few holes. James Ross was able to read the first green perfectly, however, and after a great escape from a bunker carded the first “sandy”. Richard Newcombe made a great up and down on the same hole later and was probably in the very same bunker as James.

Other than only having one tee box for 7 groups, which is not what we expected or paid for, other aspects were better with the beer being very reasonably priced at 35,000 roops a can and management put on a very acceptable buffet meal after the game, while the Great Tee Set Escape (Category – Weather) was to happen yet again. No delays, although Koen and Johannes sat out a passing electrical storm for fear on being fried in their backswings.

To the visible anguish of our Treasurer, no skirt fines were paid for the second week in succession although Peter Boyd may want to put the record straight on this being strictly correct!

CucuCucu started the day by dropping a full and outsized cup of iced coffee onto the carpet in the pro shop. Should do this every week as she then went on to overperform by scoring 4 pars and taking low nett with 66. Another notable was Richard Newcombe trying to out class the caddies by wearing purple.

Full marks to the management with their new caddy uniform of tight purple tops and white curve hugging Lycra slacks. I doubt the girls parents would approve . Richard refuses to wear the slacks.

A big welcome back to Frank Musgrove who we haven’t seen for some while, though Norman Bunter must surely take the all-time welcome back record as his last round with Tee Set was back in 1999!!!

Longest Drive went to Evaldo Roos with 254m

Nearest to the Pin won by Chris Murchinson with 87cm.

Low Gross to Craig Binks on a count back with 88.

Full category results were as follows:

UPCOMING EVENTS:

MATCHPLAY – registration for the match play competition has closed and we have over 40 players signed up. Details of the roster and first round pairings will be posted shortly by Jesse Baker who is in charge of this year’s competition.

BANDUNG BASH at Giri Gahana 29 to 31 March – reservations here are also now closed and the course and hotel advised of numbers. If you would like to be put on the stand-by list please contact Ibu Endang  and she will try and get you in.

NEXT SUNDAY – will see us returning to the attractive and popular Palm Hill course off the Jagorawi Tol where we will starting from 2 tees at 12PM. Rp.588,000 inclusive of compulsory cart, something of a bargain.

Take the Sental Sirkuit exit, turn left then right and drive for 1km until you see the sign telling you to turn left to the course.
