Another Happy Birthday!!

A year ago today, the  25th November 2012, saw the very first post on the redeveloped Tee Set website.

We hope that it has been a worthwhile effort, improving communications and, in the modern parlance, “community building” and most importantly, getting people off their backsides on a Sunday and out and about enjoying themselves, and the company of others, on the great golf courses that Greater Jakarta has to offer!

At the time of posting, exactly one year later, we have 297 Tee Set “followers”, followers who have signed up to get an e-mail every time there is a new post on the site. Quite a feat considering that most of our number are subject to the joys of the daily “e-mail deluge” and don’t lightly take on more.

Since launch we have seen a total of 28,342 page views and an average of 39 unique visitors a day which, while unlikely to give Facebook any sleepless nights, is pretty good going for a community of our size, and means that we are indeed “keeping in touch”.

Lost ballOur biggest ever day was an April Fools posting about the Wi-Ball, a golf ball  which could never be lost, and which drew an audience of more than 400 viewers from around the world – and “orders” for more than 200 Wi-Balls 🙂

Talking about “around the world”, while we do of course get most of our visits from Indonesia, there are Tee Setters all over the world and they are well represented in our statistics for countries with 25 or more visits to the website which you will see from this recent chart.

A big “thank you” and “well done” to Keith for his dedication, skill, and selfless devotion to keeping the wheels turning behind the scenes. His work helps keep us all informed in a timely manner. Yes, I named him.
