Next up: Jagorawi New Course, Sunday 23rd November

Interleague EOS

Next up is of course the end of Interleague season competition and prize giving at the Jagorawi New Course on Sunday.

Tee Set’s teams will be put together based on registrations and only finalised a little prior to tee off. If you have a flight in mind then let us know.

A few have asked about the format for the event and may very well be interested in the graphic opposite taken from the Interleague’s October Newsletter.

It is certainly different and appears to take elements from stroke play, Stableford scoring, Texas scramble and heaven knows what else but each player has the opportunity to contribute on every hole.

There are two certainties for this Sunday, the nominated scorer in each flight is going to be very busy with the pen – and there is going to be a lot of fun with bottles of wine up for grabs for the winning and runner-up teams.

Tee off will be at 12:45 with a shot gun start off all tee boxes so it should be a quick round with the course more or less all to ourselves.

Green fees inclusive of cart and caddie are a bargain Rp805,000. If you want a female caddie then remember to book one at the bag drop when you arrive.

Plenty of spare slots still left open for what should be a memorable day so, if you haven’t already, then sign up here as ever.

After the game there will be a barbie in the clubhouse with steaks both provided and cooked by Kees de Korver, God bless you Kees. Also on the menu will be veggies, spuds and Kees’ infamous chilly beans and, if there are enough funds left in the Interleague kitty, then a keg or two of Jakarta’s finest ale will be laid on while the winners and losers of the Interleague season are presented with their trophies.

After the presentations it is believed  that Viggo Kristoffersen will perform his infamous rendition of the Swingers from Sentul war song to celebrate their winning of the wooden spoon. The song is expected to be followed up immediately with another round of single malt whisky.

Finally a new entry on the Classifieds page where Mel Meeds is offering a bargain price Cross Trainer (a what? – ED) which he describes as being semi-dismantled but which we strongly suspect means he only ever got round to half building it 🙂

See ya at Jags, most certainly not a day to be missed!!!! …. Tee Set
