Matoa Nasional, Sunday 8th May 2016

No, it’s not deja vu all over again, merely a premature button press – this one has rather more stuff 🙂

Matoa HilitesThe Day

Our last visit to Matoa was back in January this year, a full 16 weeks ago, and we have to ask ourselves, why so long between rounds at this very attractive and well priced course?

Excellent question but easily answered by Tee Set being spoilt in having so many premier courses in the schedule. Matoa is always fun but given a choice of Cengkareng, BSD, Gading Raya, Riverside, Imperial, Permata Sentul and others, it is a little difficult to get people down that appalling kampung road known as Jl Mohammad Kafi 1.

Once you have dodged about 1,000 bikes riding mostly on the wrong side of the road with a full family on board, getting to Matoa safely is such a relief that the first calming Bintang doesn’t even touch the sides.

Before we get to the events of the day let’s tell you of our first strong Vasco de Garma candidate for the year. All golfers arrived prior to tee time with the exception of one Chris Lever who was to arrive a full 30 minutes after the official start time – complaining that we had tee-ed off on time. Haha.

The cause of Chris’s tardiness was, we were to be informed, due to his taxi driver not having the faintest idea where Matoa golf was located, compounded by his also having no idea on how to get there. Number one rule when hailing a taxi in Jakarta is of course to ensure you know the route to your destination. First fine of the day. On top off this when he did manage to get to a tee box he had not even one golf ball available in his bag!! Second fine of the day. Third fine was not finishing the two holes he missed by being late.

Matoa - newcomers

Illina and Efsi dip their toes in the water …

A warm Tee Set Welcome to a couple of young recruits brought along by Wina, Ilinna and Efsi. Enjoy your golf with Tee Set ladies!!

Matoa - EvaldoWelcome Backs were led at 40 weeks by that previous regular, Evaldo Roos, back after a 40 weeks absence, closely followed by Geoff Thompson who has been a Tee Setter since 1987 who was to be longest-serving member on the day,  and one who always makes the effort to turn out when we are at Matoa.

Good to see that Evaldo has not toned down his taste for, erm, colourful golfing rigs in the 40 weeks he has been away 🙂

The Play

Matoa arty

Our photographer gets arty today…

Play was to go a little pear shaped due to the rain interruption experienced by all but the 1st groups out. Where was our resident pawang hujung tasked with keeping us dry?

The most disappointed player was Mike Riley who lost his playing partners to the club house and Bintangs at the first downpour. Mike is on a mission to break a hundred by year’s end and not completing the round was not to help his cause.

Mike’s driver has been on fire at the driving range lately but that form was to desert him today and a skirt was recorded against his name, as it was for Jeff Durham, Ricardo Oliveira, Mick Dodsworth, Chris Till for the second week in a row, Laurie O’Connor, and Graeme Paterson.

Worthy of mention that Ricardo took 5 shots to get past the ladies tees on his very first hole but picked up his game after that to record only one more skirt for the day – and was just to miss out on Most Improved.

Leading scores etc. were as follows:

Next Up

BSD is of course one of the very finest of Jakarta’s many fine courses and after just 4 weeks we have a quick return there on Sunday.

1st Tee time at 12 noon from 1 & 1o and green fees of a rather odd-looking 909,000 including compulsory shared cart. Sign up here to join us for another fine and hopefully rain-free day.

Next up: Matoa, Sunday 8th May 2016

Matoa course mapYep, it’s back to our one time base and venue for the Tee Set Championship for some years, Matoa Nasional, on Sunday, this on fairways oft trod by former President Soeharto and, erm, friends.

Much improved fairways and changing facilities over the past couple of years make it a very attractive proposition at 600,000 roops including compulsory cart.

We will have an 11am tee off from 1 & 10 and hopefully very little traffic on the long weekend holiday, so register here as ever to join the 30 plus already up for Tee Set fun in the sun.

HOGFest 2016

hogfest 1

As you will almost certainly be aware, Tee Set is a strong and long time supporter of the Yayasan HOGS charity here in Jakarta, a charity that supports disadvantaged kids across Indonesia, primarily those afflicted at birth by cleft palette and/or cleft lip conditions, conditions which are pretty much life destroying when left untreated, something which regrettably happens far too often here in Indonesia.

In 2015 the Yayasan HOGS provided funding for 130 operations and hopes to at least match that this year.

Your committee has decided to once again support the Yayasan HOGS with a donation of 10 million Rupiah from your hard-earned weekly participation fees. Can we also ask for your further support for the best charity in Indonesia by attending to their annual gala event, the HOGFest?

HOGFest itself is a hugely enjoyable evening with tickets at just 700,000 and with lots of food, free flow beer and entertainment laid on – and with a special low rate for the very welcome under 12s – your committee will once again be there in force and hopes to be joined by plenty of other Tee Setters as usual!

Tickets for the HOGFest will be available for purchase at Matoa on Sunday, please, please show your support for this fantastic cause.

See yah at Matoa … Tee Set

Cengkareng, Sunday 1st May 2016

26162154233_2839fd8366_z

Cengkareng0105

 The Day

Not usual that we lead with a skirt photo but this is a beauty.  While only recording 15 skirts below, there are 16 in this photo (must be a record) and we know John Stewart snuck out to avoid the wig.  If it all adds up this would be a record equalling 17 skirts.  If not we have some very enthusiastic cross dressers.

Getting to Cengkareng is a breeze and many players arrived so early they could have brekky or their first beers around 930am.  Made for a long day, especially when the starter shifted us back to 12.25 tee off….a bit rude after they promised to look after us last time.  Sure there were grumbles but we know there is no point and some of us found ways to pass the time.  Not sure what Chris was thinking about here.

A big Tee Set welcome to Irene, Max and Narongsak for their first games with us (pictured below) and welcome back to a number of players after 40 plus weeks away: Ken, Matt and Brad, with Rusty living up to his name after 39 weeks away.

The Play

Cengkareng2010516

Compared to the off field performances, the play had its moments.  Highlights, although not for him, were Joseph Peries 73 off the stick (could have easily been 67 without close putts missed), Lis Wymer’s continued improvement for a 72 net to win C grade, Joe d’CRuz return to form with a net 72 to win A grade and James Ross round of the day 66 net to take the B grade.

26765441235_5b0fa15c3f_z

Wina, our fantastic course co-ordinator, also deserves a mention with a 67 and great matchplay win. In the only controversy of the day, Ken won Low Putts in a four man countback…best back nine guys…tough Treasurer. Max took First Sandy and gets two photos here because he didn’t quite make it to the group one.   Jess Kindler also found some form winning 1st par (over 30 handicap) in a net par round, Ronald snuck in for first birdie and John had most improved after starting with a skirt and not really getting better until the 10th.  .

26492818860_a77ce3dc37_m

Skirts added to the bulging coffers – far too many to mention – and Mel and Mark joined each other here as “winners” of Most Strokes and Monster Putter respectively.  Irene was given a first gamer reprieve. Mel’s 9 in the bunker brought back memories of the Singing President’s dramatic fall out of contention after just as many in the sand at the Bandung Bash a few years back….not the same bunker though.

The Tee Set Episcopalian Orthodox Occasional Sunday Ensemble

In the ever expanding repertoire of Tee Set documenters, we now move to video, perhaps for the last time.

We were pleased to see that the ensemble finally escaped from practice in windy Church Halls and came out of the cupboard to display all their talents yesterday at Cengkareng, starting off with some old spirituals before going on to their soon to be signature tune…you will have to watch and listen on Youtube here.

Ensemble leader, Bill “Rasta” Lloyd was later quoted as saying that this had “been an encouraging start and that the Cengkareng Frozen Margaritas had been a great help”. The Singing President was glad for the relief after two big nights had finally caught up.

There are other things we have to tell you but I can’t be bothered now.

Next Up

Back to the home of the Tee Set Championships, Matoa Nasional, always a good time, an 11am start (fingers and toes crossed!) and hopefully very little traffic on a long weekend…steer clear of the tolls.  Register here as usual.

Monthly Medal Imperial Golf Klub 24th April 2016

Imperial240416

The Day

With the course now constant, Monthly Medal events are all about the people now, and we got some great photos again of Tee Setters going about it.  With hot, rain-free weather and fast greens, 56 Tee Setters all made it round to enjoy the beautiful sunset from the Imperial Klubhouse (!).  Thanks again to El Supremo Pastis Pascal and Brenda for great organisation assisted as usual by the Web Guy and Former President of Almost Everything in the background.

Welcome to newcomers Mark and Gary.  A baptism of fire for Gary on his first round, starting with a skirt on the first tee, followed by the usual sympathetic roars of laughter, and a cart sharing experience of a lifetime with the Caddy Whisperer in peak form.  Accustomed to cooler conditions in his home course in Nottingham, and less rowdy banter, Gary finished the round physically and psychologically exhausted, but eager to return next week.

Huge welcome back to Rick after over 4 years away and to Tadashi and Shane after more than a year each.  Shane received a special bonus as the last Tee Setter to pay his bill, with Imperial loading any items they were not sure of onto his bill, fortunately Committee members were still there to help him sort it out.

The Play

Imperial240416sum

Murcho led almost every table he could today and was a worthy Monthly Medallist for April. Rasmus joined him for this photo after being awarded Low Gross.  Rasmus’s request to be paired with fellow low handicappers earned him some well deserved abuse at the after match drinks.

Pascal continued to make a run for the eclectic, no doubt stretching his lead, after being Low Net C Grade, joined by Jaroslav as B Grade winner and Richard in the A Grade.

26534830902_e3400a7cfe_z

Longest drive was awarded in three categories today: men’s (Rasmus – probably with his 3 wood), ladies (Lis – with her new driver) and kids (Daniel – working his way to the adult tees next year).  Jari was closest to the pin at 3 feet 5 inches.

In other prizes, Mel recovered from a first nine 72 (par!) to win Most Improved with 13 strokes, James took out Low Putts after adopting the Michelle Wie style technique, forcing playing partners to turn their eyes, Bags shot out of the gate fast with a birdie on the first and Joshua was again in the money with first sandy, after Richard took out Low Net A grade.  Surprise, surprise Bas won First Par Over 30….it took him until the 8th.

26564935101_5db0627161_z

26534834272_fafb99541c_z

And now for the booby prizes.  After being saved by Matt at BSD, Kokom was ready to meet our furry little friend as Monster Putter with 49 putts – don’t worry Kokom, there have been many of us in your position.  Mirela had taken off before “collecting” Most Strokes but the Treasurer was not fussed as he watched a near record harvest of 15 skirts, so big we couldn’t get everyone in the shot.  There’s something about Tom in that wig that just isn’t right.

A number of great matchplay tussles – Laurie getting up 4 and 3 over Mars; Mark sealing a 2 and 1 nail biter with Ric with a birdie on the 17th, Murcho bringing his best game to down matchplay battler, King Tirto.  More on matchplay here.

Breaking News: Shangri-La Member Benefits Deal

VP Member Benefits and Attracting Ladies has worked through a great benefit deal for Tee Setters at the Shangri-La.  We are working on more deals and a special page to cover these – for now check in Classified Page.

You will need your Tee Set Membership Card to claim the deal.

Next Up

We are back to the fine Cengkareng course next week.  It is a walking only course so be prepared.  We expect a lot of numbers and may have to limit it to ensure everyone finishes.  Register here as usual.

Slow play

We have also stressed the importance of speeding up play, especially on busy days.  Don’t hesitate to play a provisional ball if there is any chance you may not find your first, but no mulligans.

Aim to be just behind of the group in front, not just ahead of the group behind!

Next Up: Monthly Medal & Eclectic – Imperial Golf Klub, Sunday 24th April 2016

Some great shots from our last round at Imperial Golf Klub (with a K). If you are not one of the 50+ who have registered already, you better be quick here.

Now while we have your attention, a quick clarification on two rules.

Scoring Holes not Played

If weather or bad light means that you cannot finish your round, the scores for your holes not played will be calculated as par plus handicap strokes for the hole and preceded with a “X” to indicate it was not played.

For example, if you are a 28 handicapper and you don’t get to play the par 5 18th hole, which is handicap index 2, your score will be par =5 plus 2 strokes, so you will mark X-7.

Hazards – Point of Entry

Imperial has plenty of hazards, so this one will no doubt come up on Sunday.  Watch this if you are not sure of the rules.

The main point we see people confused on is that a drop must be taken in a drop zone or on a line from where the ball entered the hazard…..not horizontally from where it landed or where you saw a splash. You have a range of options but sneeking up on distance is not one.

Padang Golf Modern, Sunday 17th April 2016

PGM - Hilites

Modern

The Day

A total of thirty players was described as a quiet day for Tee Set compared to recent attendances but at least ten regulars were at Jags with interleague.  With the Singing President playing solo in Bandung, the VP for Almost Everything captaining Interleague at Jags and the Web Guy being a good dad, VP Mel and Brenda took charge and did a top job.

Right from the start of play the dark clouds circled the course and the regular rumble of thunder threatened, and although there were some spots throughout the day to slightly help cool the steamy conditions, the heavens did not fully open up until around 4.30 when greens became small lakes and unplayable.

First group off  were impressed with the lack of players in front of them and their 1.5 hour time to complete the first 9 holes. This joy quickly dissipated when they reached the 10th to find that at least 4 to 5 groups had been inserted ahead of them, for a long wait to start the second 9. Protests to the Marshall with the limited Bahasa Indonesian the four had between them proved unfruitful, and there was no other choice but to down a Bintang and make use of the time by getting to know the caddies better and improving the Bahasa  skills for future such occurrences. Interesting to note that we played our first ever round at Modern in January 2012 when the Starter started as he intended to carry on and has never wavered 😦

Unfortunately many flights could not finish the last 2 or 3 holes which caused the usual confusion with how to complete the scorecards. (To avoid future confusion we will post the rules surrounding this on the website shortly). The other downside was the sudden retreat of all players to the showers simultaneously making for a huge conga line snaking through the men’s locker room waiting for showers, made longer by the relatively small number of showers at Modern. It was lucky that most had already had a natural shower and only needed a quick 20 seconds under the hot water to take off the chill before changing.

26386542832_472ea74ae7_z

A big Tee Set welcome to Luke.

With 4 weeks being the longest break for welcome backs, sorry guys you don’t get special mention this week but are recognised below.

A very special welcome back to the Tee Set Monkey however, found after a brief holiday abroad.

The Play

PGM - Summary

25876020153_66f1535bb7_zThe shower line was long, but the number of skirts short with only 3 cross dressers this week, absent VP Mel the King of Skirts. The relatively short distance to the red tees on most holes contributed to the low skirt count, with only a totally botched drive preventing passing the ladies tee. Craig Edwards showed his group exactly what was necessary  on the final Par 3, after basking in the glory of a birdie on the previous Par 4 after a brilliant chip in “gobbler”, he hit the ground a foot before the ball, and came crashing down to earth as his ball dribbled forward a few feet. Joined here by Mike.

26412734771_89ff2bdc70_zWith hubby Ric captaining Interleague to a stunning comeback win (below), Liz Wymer took the spotlight and was beaming after a lightning round for someone so new to the sport, winning the prize for 1st par over 30 on her second hole, and just being one off low puts prize for the day with a 29. When asked by the VP on the day how she achieved such a low putt count, Liz attributed it to her new 3 Wood!! He assumed she had misheard the question and thought he had asked about her low gross score overall, and not that she had discovered a better putting stick. All about confidence that a new club brings…hati hati hubby, looks like some more spending coming up!

Mo took off early after having the lowest gross round of the day.  Jaco  was awarded Low Net A grade, Tom had an excellent net 62 to take out Low B Grade and Cucu won Low C Grade and shared the lead with the low putts count with Gerald (first pictured below).

Rounding off the prizes were the two Tonys – Tony Howarth taking most improved with 10 strokes improvement (sleepy first nine?) and Tony “Tank” Gleeson with first birdie.  Carm Gleeson didn’t reach the 40 putt limit to win Monster putter and Mike’s Most Strokes didn’t attract a photo this week, but he looks great in the wig above.

More photos of a wet and windy day can be found on the Tee Set Gallery  while more detailed, player by player results are here.

Interleague

After a 10 nil drubbing at the hands of Tip Cups last month, Tee Set were out to prove they are still contenders for 2016 and not just a one off wonder. The former President of Most Things and current Interleague Captain came up with a new master plan mixing up some solid performers from previous rounds with younger unblooded players. This in conjunction with matching up a low handicapper with a higher handicapper could not have worked any better and Tee Set shut out the Sentul Swingers before they even got going.

Murcho in singles dispatched former Bali Classic winner Lucas 4/3 and in the other singles Diviya held his nerve this time to take out Vigo 2 up. In the first doubles match Anlo was welcomed back after a month away and teamed up with Captain Ric to shut the door early on Alistair and Ari with a 9 and 8 win, Jags club member Joseph played inspired golf and with Chris Lever as partner won against Richard and Andrew 4 and 3. Joseph also took out nearest to the pin and longest drive with a 260m bomb.

Their excellent rounds at BSD last week earned Sudhir and Aditya selection for the first time and they did their team proud by beating Howard and Dave 4 and 3.  Selection is based on performance so they may end up as regulars for some time to come. All in all a great effort and a great day out only spoilt by the bumper to bumper 2 hour slog back to Jakarta.

Damai Indah Golf and Country Club, BSD 10th April 2016

BSD Hilites

The Day

The clouds blocked the sun and kept in the heat and humidity, creating a sweaty bunch of Tee Setters.  Humidity aside, the experience at BSD was a stark improvement on last week, starting on time and, with a few exceptions caused by slowish Tee Setters, we raced through the rounds, many of us finishing within 4 and a half hours.  Brilliant course, fast and true greens, Jack Nicklaus managed to create a mountain course in the flatlands of the west.  With the exception of beer prices, where a glass cost the same as a bottle (take note for next time), BSD put on a great day, even supplying a microphone to the Singing President for presentations.

Special welcome back to Sofree and Bob and Nenden (pictured here) and welcome to newcomers Jeffri and Jari.  Bob and Nenden have been long time supporters of Tee Set and joined the Singing President, with highlights of the round being Nenden deciding to join the fellas off the white tees, a pair of skirts from Bob, a chip in from Nenden on the 6th and a miraculous shot on the 18th which travelled 50 metres forward before ricocheting off a coconut palm and landing back at her feet.

Tee Set Membership Cards were distributed to some lucky Tee Setters, allowing them to start accessing member benefits, including 30% off food and beverages from Shangrila and free entry to BATS, discounts from Santi’s Premium Pies and much much more…..

The Play

BSD Summary

26297972961_69d4f7457a_mLast week’s newcomer Joshua (in red shorts here) had the round of the day with a 76 off the stick.  He has yet to qualify for a Tee Set handicap but Interleague Captain Ric is already signing Joshua up as our next deadly weapon.  Pocket rocket Daniel made up for Senayan, this time winning the countback for Net A grade from an unlucky Bags, who suffered doubly by meeting an in-form Mick Dodsworth in matchplay.

Mick took Net C Grade honours with a 69 and the Singing President joined the winners, to the usual calls from the peanut gallery, taking Net B Grade with a net 66.

The skills prizes went to Bushy for Low Putts, Andre for Most Improved after a sleepy/sloppy first nine, James for First Birdie and Jaroslav for First Sandy Par.  Malty ensured he had a photo to himself by having the First Par Over 30 (Bas was away!) and being in the shower during presentations.

In the booby prizes, Kim stepped up for Most Strokes, accompanied by Matt who gallantly stepped in for Kokom as Monster Putter.  Matt’s 45 putts made him second, with Kokom’s 60 putts challenging but not quite reaching Dede’s recent effort of 61. Meager pickings for the Treasurer with only 6 skirts.  Fines were collected from those who left early, leaving KK, Sudhir and the King of Skirts VP Mel left to face the camera.

More detailed, player by player results here and lots more photos of a great day on the Tee Set Gallery.

Next up: Modern 12 noon 770,000Rp including cart, semi-shotgun start off 6 tee boxes

Golf in Indonesia offers a natural beauty that makes the game of golf so much fun, playing golf in Indonesia such as working out in the world full of color, and and would imagine a beautiful garden into a place to play golf with business associates or relatives. Most of these golf resorts have magnificent views coupled with mild and healing climate. Landscapes and ornamentations are carefully drawn in the most luxurious way. There are beautiful pools and ponds that captivate visitors.

Yes this write up of Padang Modern Golf never fails to impress. After the dramatic last visit where Tee Set tied with DOGS in the Inaugural Team Challenge, we return to Modern again this Sunday, after our scheduled start at Permata Sentul was cancelled due to a tournament there.  Register here as usual.

Palm Hills, Sunday 3rd April, 2016

Palm HillsThe Day

Palm Hills staff do a lot of things right but their scheduling again let them down on Sunday.  Apparently 160 players played the course in the morning and were still in the middle of their rounds when Tee Set was due to start at 12 noon, making the starter initially withdraw the promise of a semi-shotgun start off 6 tee boxes and then reinstate it, loading up tee boxes with a mix of Tee Setters and other golfers, and making nobody happy.

Our numbers almost doubled from Friday which added to the stress and they struggled to provide both carts and caddies.  The first three holes took well over an hour, with some groups having a free run after that, and others having to enjoy the taste of beer and the company of their playing partners and caddies to pass the time between shots.

Big welcome to 6 newcomers: Neil, Joshua, Ian, Aay and the Kindler kids, Laney and Henry. Heading the Welcome Backs were Bill and Siska after years away (according to the records!)  and Robert, Kongkiat and VP for Exotic Drinks James (pictured here resuming duty). Also joining us for the first time courtesy of Geoff’s creativity (??) was Brenda2 – a big hit and featured in most of today’s shots, including this one with the real Brenda.

Another great turnout again from the ladies makes a happy VP Mel who has set his mission to increase the number of ladies playing with Tee Set this year.26137623092_28a6acb992_m

The Play

Palm Hills2

So much for claims of Palm Hills being one of the easier courses …which fool ever wrote that?  Some of the highest net scores we have seen for a while.  Only Malty shot under par for the day, and many were in the net 80s and 90s.  Malty was joined in the winners’ circle by Marcello (A Grade) and Bill (B Grade) as well as Roger, Mark and Ian sharing the honours for Low Gross.

The skills prizes were shared around between the grades with Tom snaring first sandy, the first birdie brought to us by El Guapo Enterprises, Bas (yet again!) taking the first par over 30 but only thanks to Malty’s win, Laurie snapping up Most Improved after a slight confusion (sorry Tom), and Jaco and Geoff (The Caddy Whisperer) sharing Low Putts with 30, a great effort on very slow and bumpy greens. We eventually located Geoff for the photo, replenishing fluids after a long day.

A rich harvest of 11 skirts, including one from the VP for Member Benefits and Attracting Ladies, seeking to cement his lead at the top of the skirt propensity table.  Most Strokes was shared by Drew, Jess and Tom (after the kids were excused).  Drew had the memorable “Nelson” score of 11 shots 1 putt on the 18th. Tom and Lis shared Monster Putter but the VP for Almost Everything, chivalrous as ever, stepped in on his wife’s behalf.

Missing Monkey

MonkeyWe may need to recall our friend Sherlock to hunt for clues in the garage of the VP for Almost Everything as our beloved monkey has gone missing after Senayan.  It was last seen in this shot….all three Tee Setters in the shot have not been seen since Senayan so that may be a clue.  If any of you read this and you have the monkey, please send us a photo from your current location with the monkey (a la garden gnome).  Or bring it next week.

Latest News: Tee Set Joins Forces with Bali’s Par 5 Society

With the membership cards almost done, Tee Set will soon be able to announce a range of member benefits being negotiated by VP Member Benefits and Attracting Ladies, and available on presentation of the card.

Bali’s Par 5 Society has a similar scheme providing discounts on green fees and discounts at a number of restaurants in Bali.  Tee Set and Par 5 have agreed to open member benefits to each other.  We have also agreed to play a yearly Battle Royale team event alternating between Bali, Jakarta and other venues in Indonesia.

Nirwana

The first is scheduled for the weekend of 23-24 July in Bali.  Special rates have been negotiated for the stunning Nirwana course at Tanah Lot.  Roger Finnie, a recent convert from Par 5 to Tee Set, has kindly agreed to be the event El Supremo.

Registrations will open later this week when more details on prices and travel arrangements are available.   Tee Set’s scheduled round at Rainbow Hills will go ahead in parallel however we hope to get at least 12 Tee Setters to represent us and have a great weekend in Bali. Non-playing family members are most welcome to join of course.

Tee Set Eclectic

Newly appointed Monthly Medal and Eclectic Supremo Pastis Pascal is clearly getting a grip of things there with the status for the Eclectic available just a day or two after the 3rd round was completed, though this may not be unconnected with his being in the lead right now with a Net 54!!

Full up to date situation here, though worth mentioning that putting this together was something of a trial as there were many scorecards form the last round at Imperial showing a lack arithmetical skills that a 5 year old might be embarrassed about. C’mon guys!!

International Schools Golf Tournament

The above runs from Thursday to Saturday at Jagorawi and Dave Tarcy is still looking for more helpers from Tee Set to act as Marshal for the event. If you can help on one or more of the three days then PLEASE drop Dave an urgent line if you can help on one or more of the three days. Our kids are our future, help them avoid skirts!!

Next Up

We have the opportunity to play at one of Jakarta’s finest courses, BSD, at the price of 909,000 roops starting at 11.42.  Given the length of the course and the continuing damp conditions, play will be off the white tees for men. Register here as usual.
