Hands up all of you who think they are going to Karawang on Sunday to check out their nice new club house.

Put your hands down, because you’re not, they couldn’t find our booking, offered us a 1pm start and hiked the price 30%. Very far from the end of the world however as, after running up a significant phone bill, Wina got us into Pondok Cabe at 11:30 with fees of 400,000 roops including shared cart or 325,000 if you choose to hoof it round this eminently walkable course.

Pondok Cabe is where that band of house husbands, the unemployed and those able to sneak out of the office take their pleasure every Tuesday morning – and they tell us that the course is in fantastic shape for  the time of year and puts Matoa with its concrete fairways and the rest to shame. And the big bottles of Bintang are something of a bargain and the Soto Ayam top drawer.

No need  to change your registration for Sunday if you have already made it, but, if you haven’t registered, then please do so in the usual place.

The Tee Set Matchplay continues to wend its weary way 24th with the odd game being played here and there looking like ensuring we have a couple of finalists on November 24th – find the latest situation here courtesy of the man who drew the short straw this year, Jesse Baker. who also reports:

Bracket Emas is making some progress.  Wina has made it to the final bracket and is just waiting to for the other branch to catch up.  Matt Fairey and Cucu have a match to play and the winner will take on Anthony King to see who gets to face Wina.  She has crushed some strong contenders so far.  Should be fun to watch.

Bracket Kuningan is going slowly.  Bob and Paul need to get their match done asap so we can make some progress.  Joe and Fernando appear to be waiting for their next challengers.
